Hi, I've been wanting to build on a rda so I've ordered one but still waiting, I want to know can you build a dual coin on A THREE POST rda? Or does it have to be four? And what are that dangers? Is it so I make sure the coils don't touch any metal from the bottom or the sides when screwing the coil on?

And how does it work, the lower the wraps you do, the lower the ohm or the opposite? Thanks

1: yes you can build dual coil on 3 posts; each coil shares the middle post.
2: does it have to be four?
You mean four posts? Four posts makes it easier: 2 positive and 2 negative; no sharing; each coil has it's own post; you do one coil and vape; then if you like it, you put a second coil, same build; so now you're vaping 2 times at once.
3: don't let the coil touch the metal around it - keep an eye on when you put the topcap on - that's where you are likely to make the mistake.
4: the wire has ohms per inch; the longer the wire, the more the ohms.

i have a couple three post rda's that i have dual coil builds on (vaping on el cabron with that setup right now) - typically, center post is common post with a lead from each coil going through it - though I am finding that I prefer a four post rda overall - the twisted mess from compvape is one of my favorites and I recently picked up a '13 heavens, 9 hells' rda from compvape - very similar to the twisted mess, great vape... seems to me that the four post builds can be a little more user friendly, but that is simply my opinion

I'll chime in only because I'm a Royal Hunter owner. I love it. Easy to build and learn on. The big difference is the dual positive post. It makes it very easy to install one coil then the next without having to loosen the positive and fit both wires at the same time. The RH is my "let's try it" rda for a lot of reasons and you may see why if you get one. Great beginner dripper and it will give great clouds.

I like edyle having a two post manta. Glad I don't. lol :p

There's no middle post.
Actually I have 3 30mm magma's; much easier on the eyes and easy to build on with two posts widely separated but the reason I don't use em is the plastic block in the middle.
But the manta I have, i'm actually using the topcap of it with the build deck of an aris, which is technically a 3 post system, but it's unique in that it's a triangle-3-post! So they did the most efficient placement of posts on the aris! plus it's got a deep juice well like the magma.

I read somewhere else that the magma had great airflow but I just don't see how. I don't know anyone that has one and have never seen one up close so I'll see if I can find a review. The Aris is a beautiful rda and I've considered buying one but I don't see it being a new atty. I feel that so many rdas are basically the same with slight modifications. I've been looking into a 30mm dripper just for kicks. I don't know that it will produce any better than a 22mm but it looks like fun.

hmmm
well have an aris rda; in fact that's what i'm vaping on right now ; acutally jus the deck with a manta topcap on top.

the aris by itself has too tiney airflow.

as for 30mm rda's I have 6; 3 magmas and 3 veritas;
nope; magma does not have great airflow; and drilling one was...... possible but not easy.
but the main reason I don't use the magmas is the plastic.

what I like about the 30mm rda's is the capacity; but I gotta admit the 22mm aris capacity is exceedingly competitive.

yu don't see the aris as new?
Show me any other triangle post rda?
80+% of rda's just have 3 posts in a line.
the aris design does the obvious and maximizes the distance between posts for dual coil.

oh, ya, it also, actually why I bought it was for the glass topcap, but turns out the unique post arrangement is why I've ended up using it; but the airflow is what kills it; but like I said I'm using it with a manta topcap and the airflow is good. and better than my 22mm magma

That's good enough for me. If anyone feels that good about an atty, I'm willing to give it a try. Even if I don't like it as much as you do, it'll look great on my shelf. :) I was half way to getting one but this seals the deal. Thanks bro. The pic you posted is better than the ones I saw earlier. The size really makes the difference. I have a varitas. I didn't know they made a 30mm.

Three posts work fine with smaller wire for two coils it gets tight with thick wire doing dual coils.

As far as safety just make sure you are building within safe ohm range for your mod. Do some homework on battery safety and watch some videos of people building on your RDA. Be smart and learn enough to keep your fingers from being blown off before you start building.
