Need help with RSST!!

My ELA is still WEEKS away, and I don't have any other mech to run my RSST on, so I need to build a coil compatible with my ole Smoktech VMAX.

I don't know the lowest the JunkMax will run, but I'm guessing 1.2-1.5 ohms. How can I build a 1.5 with 28 awg kenthal?

I would have ordered a higher resistance if I would have know my ELA was going to be so far out, but... it'll be worth the wait!

in the RSST for the VMAX... i would go with 6 wraps minimum.... but with 28 awg, your going to have a long wait, getting all that kanthal nice and hot....

i would set it up in the 1.8 ohm range to get better use of the VV

it's just the wrong wire for the wrong application... your S.O.L. in my opinion.

It is possible. I finally got my aga t+ working with 28g last night. I used the drill bit method. Find a bit as big as your wick and wrap almost a micro coil around the smooth part. Insert the bit in your wick hole an make your connections before removing the bit and insert your wick into the coil. I used 10 wraps and got 1.9 ohms.

It will take some poking and prodding but you'll get there.

I may have to get a cheap mech until the other comes in. I really want to try the RSST and learn to build Gennies, but VVs don't play nice with low ohms.

Any suggestions on a good, inexpensive mech to hold me over??

The K100 is the only budget friendly mech, that i have held, that i actually like.

i think its in the sub $50 price range.
But remember.... you get what you pay for.

That's way I dropped the cash on the ELA.

My China made JunkTech VMAX keeps coming apart at the press fittings, I've had to repair it TOO many times, including re-soldering the wiring! I'm done with buying cheap on something I'm going to be using daily.

I'm not as worried about a mech being inexpensive, but I don't want a POS!

i slapped the RSST on there to see how a 1.5 ohm build was (that's sitting on my provari now). it looked pretty good. finished don't match, but the "box look" worked imo.

I almost broke down and bought a Provari, but just couldn't pull the trigger. My wife thinks I spend too much on my vaping habit, so I'll wait. She about shot me when she found out how much I forked over to Super-T for the EAL with the extra 18650 Kick tube... I had to do some good suckin' up! lol

i have an ELA coming too lol. polished.

my gf doesn't think i spend too much on my vaping habit....as long as i'm spending EQUAL amounts on her habit.

Ok... I'm glad I didn't get the Provari, I'm just not a fan of the looks! I know it's a beast, but I have to have something that looks good.

Yea... I just seen the button placement. Why would they stick the button there? Too much drink and smoke during the designing of that!
