when i run an 18350 battery, i keep it to 4/5 wraps. it puts me above 0.9 ohms.
18500 or 18650 i bring it down to 3/4 wraps, which puts me in the 0.7 ohm range.
High drain / high amp batteries only, AW IMR's are a respected choice.
i have also modified the air hole to compensate for the heat/vapor that the coil produces.
since you are new to the rebuildables.
i
don't recommend doing this, as there is a risk involved whenever you make a sub-ohm coil.
and you should read up on the do's and don'ts of sub ohm vaping.
5 wraps should bring you above the 1.0 ohm rating.
but with any rebuildable, an ohm meter is a must.
many use mods to check, but I feel more comfortable attaching my coil to a $10 ohm meter than my $200 ProVari.
i would rather know the reading of a coil, than to read the word "Low" on a mod, so that i can adjust accordingly
