Hi i been using silver bullet with LR 510 atty with 18650(3.7v) for almost a month and its working fine for me.
I bought all my stuff from altsmoke.com
i wanted to try 6v with normal 510 atty so i bought a kit of 4 RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Protected batteries with a Smart Charger from amazon.com and also a 510 atty from altsmoke.com
i charged the two 3v batteries and try using it with 510 atty and its not working as i was expecting. when i press the button atty activates only for a 0.5sec and then stops working. i press the button again same things happens everytime, only activates the atty for 0.5 sec and i hardly get any vapor. when i switch the batteries with 18650 atty works fine. just not with these small 3v batteries. Also tried LR 510 atty with 3v batteries but the setup doesnt even activate the LR atty. I used Banana flavor(11mg) from eliquidplanet.com
I am confused. Is it happened to anyone before? problem is with the new batteries or the atty or i dont even know :( ?
Also another question, when i keep smoking my SB for a long time, atty gets hotter and i stop getting the taste from the flavors, just vapors are coming out....is it normal?

The batteries described are most likely protected Li-ions. I'm guessing the protection circuit is tripping on one or both of the batteries when you try to use them to fire up the atomizer.

I'd suggest using a pair of these for 6 volt vaping. They should charge fine in the charger that came with your Tenergys but never try to charge them in a charger made for 3.7 volt batteries.

Edit: DON'T use the Tenergy charger that comes with 900 mAh Li-ion RCR 123's to charge 750 mAh Tenergy LiFePO4 batteries or any other brand of RCR 123a LiFePO4 batteries.

Use this charger or the WF 188 or WF 138a set to 3.0/3.2 volts.

Sorry about offering up faulty info earlier.

My batteries for vaping stacked batts at 6v on a Silver Bullet are Tenergy brand protected RCR 123A 3.2v. They're silver and green with black type.

Those are LiFePO4 batteries and are comparable to the AW batteries I suggested. Here's a nifty thread on that subject.

Should i give these batteries a try? RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger Tenergy 39003
i guess they are the one Boodle mentioned, green with silver.

If you have the coin to spare, sure. Do you know the ohm rating of the 510 atty you're trying to use at 6 volts?

LR stands for low resistance. That usually means 2.0 ohm or lower. On an ego battery, you're using voltage around 3.2 or 3.4, and 2.0 ohm atty's work great. But at 6v, those LR atty's don't work well. I've been told that as a general rule, voltage - 2 = ohm range you want. So on a 6v mod, you would want a 4.0 ohm atomizer or so.

I'm not sure at all. I could be completely off base. But I think you have atty's that can't handle 6v vaping.

I promise the ones I suggested are what I use in my Silver Bullet. I'm a battery-tard so I called AltSmoke and asked what to get. These are what they recommended. You might try calling them. They answered my noob quiestions nicely and without a snicker :) I can't find anywhere on these little batteries what the mAh rating is. Just says LiFePO4 Tenergy RCR123A 3.2v.

I accidentally stacked my GLV2 mod batteries (AW ICR123 3.7v) in my Silver Bullet. It was too much voltage for me but it does work with an HV atty. I hope you get it worked out. You have an awesome mod.

new SB user so this question maybe well a newbie question - using the batteries you suggest in a SB , they would be stacked 2 at a time correct? Will a spacer be needed? If so how does that wrk where does it go? - Thanks !
