Im working on my first box mod and id like to use two 14500's with the ability to regulate between 3.7 and 6 volts. Im not experienced with ic's and such, so im hopeing someone can point me in the right direction.

Personally I would use an OKR-T/3-W12 (my choice over the "evercool" anyday) and follow these schematics

I know this is a dumb question, but what controls the output voltage of these things? I thought there was just some kind of adjustment screw.
The Dimension engineering unit has a screw "pot" on board that can be removed and relocated, used as is, or many other methods too numerous to list.
The OKR can be controlled in a variety of ways as well. Again too numerous to list all the methods, but it could include one of numerous microcontrollers, (again) a simple "screw pot", a digital potentiometer, a power monitoring chip, etc.
The KISS method would be a screw pot or a Digital pot. Other methods I'll defer in elaborating on to when you get the basics mastered.
