Need help

Couldnt wait on my mod box kit to come in so i went to radio shack and bought a button, led (and led holder (very shnazy) 470-0 ohm resister and they didnt really have any 2aa battery boxes with a on off selector so i had to buy a 4 aa one which is where my main question comes in if i used 2 14500 would that make it a 7.4 v mod and if so would i need more parts to do it correctly i seen that the 3 aa box kit comes with a circuit board any help would be great thanks in advance

Depends how you run the 14500's . Two ways to do it series and parallel. Parallel would be the same as the rated voltage 3.7 nominal. Series would be 7.4 volts nominal. At 7.4 volts you would need a voltage regulator to bring the voltage down or a really high resistance atomizer.

seems like my battery box would set them up in a series would the regulator go in just before the atty or directly to the battereis then to the resistor/led and atty connection

Lots of ways to run a regulator also. But my favorite would be after the momentary switch. This way the regulator is off until you hit the switch. You might want to check out all the different mods in here and see how they are wired up. Lots of good info buried in these threads.

Just a thought:
If you go with Series at 7.4 volts and use a voltage regulator to bring the voltage to what ever you want (even if it is only 3.7 volts). At some point you may wish you had VV. but in parallel you will never get more than the 3.7 volts out of it.
