Hi everyone
So.. Following the success of a few friends giving up with ecigs I decided when I returned from holiday would buy my usual cheap cigs back then it would be game over for me! I returned from holiday a week ago with my last (sob) 400 cigs in tow. Have returned from holiday to the news a dear family member has lung cancer which has made me all the more determined to finally kick the habit. Whilst on holiday I bought a joytech ego c upgrade e cig kit from the bar man who didn't use it! The kit has 2 batteries and two attachments the plastic mouth piece that you put the
E juice in! Also got a load if ejuice 6 and 12 mg! Already finding that I am smoking less and looking forward to giving up quite enjoy smoking the ecig although I find I can toot away with very little effect even on 12 mg... Also don't like the plastic mouthpiece feels like it leeks... So few questions sorry if any terminology is wrong complete newby!!!

What is the best clearomizer/ attachment for ego c upgrade battery.. Want to give myself the best chance at giving up!! Do you think it's worth ditching these batteries altogether and getting new set up reading the forums it seems they are a bit out of date don't mind spending a bit of dollar if it means kicking the stinking habit!

What strength juice should I get I am a 15- 20 a day smoker although if I am honest have times when I chain smoke (I am a nurse on 13 hour shifts with no nicotine... 2 in the morning 3 on the way home)

How often do I need to change atomiser and when will I know

Again apologise for my ignorance

Thanks
In advance

I'd suggest Kanger EVOD. Buy 2 and fill one with 12mg and another one with 18mg. If the first doesn't work for you replace it with the higher mg.

I started with KangerT2 but some people say it's hard to find. I then switched to EVODs but I still use that T2, it's the easiest that it gets. You refill from the top without any leaks. But it gives you a warm vape.

Hi and welcome from a fellow newbie, I've not had a regular cig for 4 weeks thanks to vaping! I'm pretty new so not really the person to give you in depth advice, I'm still trying to find the right clearomiser set up, think it requires some trial and error. I'm currently using a Totally Wicked bottom dual coil (bdc) and enjoy it better than the cheap clearomiser, also upgraded to the itaste vv/vw v3.

Newbie to newbie, I'd say read everything you can, watch as many youtube vids as you can and stick with it! If you are doing long shifts you might find you need a stronger nic level 24mg, 36mg maybe! Just get smaller bottles and see what suits you, but I smoked a pack and a half and 36mg was too strong for me - gave me a headache and made my heart race so it's personal for what works for you. Main advice I'd give you is drink water, lots of water!

Welcome, Ailisho! And congratulations on making the great decision to quit smoking and switch to e-cigarettes!

The great thing about the set-up you bought is that eGos are compatible with so many things, so you can upgrade a little at a time. To start with, if you don't like the toppers you are using (they are probably clearomisers, but here's a little reading for you http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html --Baditude has the BEST blogs to help new users!), my recommendation for a good new one to start with would be a Kanger T3S, or an Evod, as Billi0 suggested. Be sure to get some extra coil heads (the atomizers). I would recommend maybe 1.8 or 2.0 ohm heads, if you are using a fixed-voltage battery.

Yes, these will work with your batteries. You can put pretty much anything on top of an eGo that has either 510 or ego threading. You will know it's time to change the heads when they stop working as well, or start to taste "off". Sometimes they actually die, but more often it's just that the performance declines.

Good luck, and if you have more questions, we're all here for you!

The eGo battery has threads for two types of connections. You will notice an inner threading in the center, that is what is called 510 connection. The outer threading is called eGo connection.

When you look for attomizers or any thing to put on your eGo, just make sure it says one or the other for the connection. Most every device will tell you what the threading is. What is nice about the eGo is it will take both types.

Hello and welcome!

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping and/or looking to upgrade.

I suggest doing a YouTube search for specific battery devices and juice attachments (clearomizers etc). Decide from watching those videos which ones will best fit what you want & need.

Many of us began using an ego battery setup with clearomizers or cartomizers on top. Many of us advanced up to better gear for a better vaping experience.

Battery Devices:

  • ego Spinner or Twist

  • Innokin iTaste VV3 or MVP2

Juice Attachments:

  • Aspire Nautilus or Kanger Aerotank clearomizers both have adjustable airflow which the other clearomizers don't have.

  • Run of the mill clearomizers are: Aspire CE5 and Vivi Nova, Kanger Protanks, Evods, T3S, and T3D.

  • Cartotanks Cartomizers used in a tank; a different wick system from clearomizers.

Proper Terminology: Juice Attachments

A Good Starter Setup for a Beginning Vaper

Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with a Mod

The Vapers Table

* I often describe vaping as a journey to find the ultimate vaping experience.

Hi and welcome.

I started out with something similar, I started with Ego T, from personal experience at least, I would suggest Something like an Ego twist or similar device and maybe something like an Aspire CE5 or Vivi Nova(either standard or BDC).

also, I would smoke about 15 a day and I found that 18Mg liquid was good for me, but that also depends on the flavours.

and in regards to when to change, you will know yourself, just when you start to taste burnt.

I agree, it is a journey. What works for others may not work for you.
Check out badditudes blogs, the following will make more sense then.

I'd say start with some evod tanks. I loved them when I was using clearo's, and they are cheap.
The aspire nautilus mini with the bvc coils are getting great reviews!

The ego style batteries are very popular! They are because they work and they are very portable. I'd stick with those for a while.

The MVP2 is a great device that is highly recommended for beginners, and those using clearo style devices. Like I said, the egos should be good for now, play with different coil resistances to see what you like.

Hope this helps!
Good luck on your journey!
This is a great place to get questions answered, and also get support when things aren't working out...
