want to replace the copper contacts on my stingray x with the silver plated ones but not sure how to remove the one in the top cap.

yea im scared to break mine so hoping somebody that has switched it will see this post, i did extend mine and grabbed the pin under the contact plate with needle nose and gave it a few good tugs but it didn't budge.
I know on a Prism V2 I was messing with I slid it right out of the top cap. Just not sure if its the same for the Stingray top caps...
yea i think that might be it, the spare has a notch in it that looks like locks it in when you push it through and makes it a pain to take off.
i think ill wait till i get a mod i like better and really try to get it out of there, been looking at a couple authentics and if i get one of those im sure i wont care if i break the cap of my clone lol.
I generally rock the hybrid adapters unless I am going for a particular look which the top cap can accent. 
100% serious though. I have started on a "I want my mod to be visually appealing to me" thing. I can care less what others think for the most part, but I kinda like to like what I see when I set it down.
I'm glad the hybrid adapters that came with my XTi and black X both work with my Red Copper LE and vice versa.
