I have a zmax mini and yesterday i purchased a ivo w+. I made my coils to be 1.7 ohms and it wont fire. Any idea why?

I think you might need to provide a little more information... Does your zmx mini work with another atty? Is your coil 1.7 calculated or actually measured? If calculated, it might not be what you think and it's worth measuring it. Does the coil fire on another battery?

Ive been using the nautilus 5ml on my mini. When i did the coils on the ivo dripper and checked the resistance it read 1.7 ohms. This is the first time ive tried to use a rebuildable

what gauge wire did you use and how many coils are you running in it? If you have lower gauge wire like 26,24,22 gauges then there is a lot of metal to try and heat up and your mod might not have the power to push the voltage needed to fire it up the z-mini uses an 18350 battery most of which are only 3.5 to 5.5 amps unless you spend some money on like AW 18350 but even those are only like 10.5 amp max if i remember correctly. The other thing is does the atty have an adjustable 510 pin if so try adjusting it out some you might not be getting a solid connection at the 510 on the mod.

I agree with Iamthevoice about measuring your resistance. What did you use to measure the coils? On board ohms readers on mods Vamo, Innokin, or otherwise I have found not to be nearly as accurate as an ohm/volt meter from say e-leaf or a company of that sort. I'm trying to go off memory here but I believe that the minimum ohm coil that a z-mini will fire is 1.5 and if you have tweaked the coils at all when wicking them and it has changed the ohm level or you don't have an accurate reading of the build that will definitely cause it not to fire as well. I have built coils that read .30 on my ohm meter and after wicking and firing it a few times the ohms dropped to .25 when i rechecked the build after vaping it 2 to 3 lung hits, I know that it probably sounds weird rechecking your coils after vaping them but I want to know that my builds are solid and accurate. A screw loosening or not being tightened properly can cause a major dilemma in vape performance and safety.

The vape store i went to told me it wont fire anything less than 1.2. I been usin my mod and a meter to check the ohms. Im wonderin if the 18350 battery is just to small to fire it?

Does it show 3 ---- when you try and fire it?

make sure the coil is not touching the base , sometimes it might be overlooked or think its not touching when part of it is , that could be the reason for it not firering , double check
