need help!!!

I bought some Sony vtc3 18650 batteries from ebay thinking they where the real deal. I read in some other threads that it was fine to buy batteries from ebay/Amazon. I may have an unsafe mod and it scares the hell out of me. How am I supposed to know if these are fake or not? I knew not to buy from china/Japan so I bought from a us seller but I failed to look that they where manufactured in Japan. If these are fake than i could be in a very bad predicament! If anyone has any info or can help me please let me know ASAP!!! Thanks in advance guys!

You won't be able to check you batteries until you receive them. Most ebay sellers do not take pictures of the exact product they are selling.

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

imo: I know this was posted earlier but I just found something startling one battery looks completely legitimate while the other the qr code is in a different place and that is very worrisome to me.... I really need help here I also contacted the seller and I don't have an answer.

If your builds will support it they also have the Panny NCR18650PF on sale (10 amp CDR, that's what I have been using for close to a year on regulated mods).

I'm no expert but I don't believe Sony makes batteries in the US (I know of no reason not to buy from a Japan manufacturer), most manufacturers have authorized distributors listed on their website. Aside from the pics in your other thread its hard to tell over the internet, an electronics store (somewhere more technical than best buy or radio shack) should be able to tell you the capabilities of your batteries but it may be cheaper to buy new from a reputable source.

Gap around the positive end is too large, negative end / bottom metal is domed / raised / protrudes.
I wouldn't use them in a mechanical.

It is always best to buy batteries from reputable dealers / vendors only.

These are vtc3s the end is supposed to protrude and as for the on the positive end are you talking about vtc3s? Thanks for the response guys!

r-isales also sells batteries of of Amazon other reputable websites but still I would be a fool not to inspect them.
