I just watched some videos and read some tutorials and have a pretty good grasp on how to get started. I do have a couple of questions.

How many of you use cotton for wicks?
How much cotton do you trim off the wick after placing it through the cool?
Is 28gauge a good all around wire choice?
How do you know how many winds and type of wire to get certain ohms?

-Most people use cotton I recommend organic cotton (got mine from Amazon)
- You basically trim the cotton even with the outter lip you want it to just contact the bottom of the deck when you push it down and I push it against the deck wall.
- Yes 28 Guage is ideal for Kayfun 7-12 wraps
- I recommend starting out wrapping coils on 1/16 or 5/64 this worked for me starting out and forced me to not use too much cotton because it's very easy to use too much cotton because the videos make it look like so much more then in real life lol.

Yes 28 gauge is what people often use; and thicker.

That's WHY the ohms are on the low side; that and multicoil.
