The easiest one is a microcoil with cotton in my opinion. You compress the coils together this way, so perfectly even spacing is less of an issue. Most use cotton for taste and ease of wicking. I've recently been using Japanese cut cotton pads from Muji. I haven't noticed much different in taste, but I do find it easier to pull apart the amount of cotton I want and less goes to waste. Do not buy those cotton pads from Amazon. They're charging an arm and a leg. I got mine from Muji itself. $2 something for a bag, plus $5 in shipping. Amazon is selling bags for $11.

Riptrippers is the best in my opinion. He has great production skills and gives you all the details with closeups and explanations without the boring and lengthy fluff that makes you want to click forward. He also has specific videos on winding most any stock atomizer coil you'd want. There are dual and single coil tutorials with single coil alternatives for dual coil atomizers.

IMO, 32ga Kanthal works out best for 2 ohm coils. You can do 6 closely spaced turns and fit them into just about any Kanger atomizer head. 26ga and 28ga are good for Genesis RSST style rebuildables where you have room for more turns.
