Need lots of advice

Good evening everyone!

So I need lots of advice. This is not my first attempt at vaping. I successfully quit smoking analogs last year for about 2 months using a PV.

I first tryed blu e-cigs and hated them. They were absolutely disgusting. I then tried mistic e cigs that were sold at walmart. These I actually liked. Alot. I was in love for a while, however vaping mistics proved to be more expensive than smoking analogs. Mistics had a great taste, however the cartos you buy outside of the starter kit seemed to be under filled and didnt last me very long.

So I began to search for a liquid that I could refill the mistic cartos with that would be as enjoyable as the mistic liquid, but at a better cost. I ordered a few liquids from here and there, and every one of them I didnt like. Dekang nuport tasted like cologune. Others tasted badly as well. Undaunted, I came to these forums and discovered mentol ice from Halo. I liked it and it became my regular liquid.

Eventually the batteries and cartos went bad, so I ordered an kr808 kit from halo. I was happy with that kit for a while, but then those batteries and cartos started to go bad too. So I ordered an ego from joytech with a monster carto. I was not impressed with its size and the moster carto produced lots of vaper, but it was cool, not warm like I liked from the mistic or halo cartos.

It was at that point that I began smoking analogs again and gave up on vaping.

Fast forward about a year. I began to have trouble breathing and decided to quit analogs again and picked up vaping again. Again, I started with the mistics at walmart. Again, I love the vape from them. Good throat hit, good warm vapor, great taste that never gets old. However, again, the same problems recur. The cartos in the started kit seem to last forever. Its great. The refill packs you buy (10 cartos for $20) seem to last half as long. I could easily go through 5 cartos a day. I was a pack a day smoker, and the claim that a 10 pack is equivelent to a carton of analogs is rediculious.

So I ordered an OMG all day vapor kit from some website with a monster battery and tank cartos. I also orderd some of my belovid menthol ice from halo. This time however, I find that I really dont like menthol ice anymore. It tastes too menthol(y) and harsh. I also hated the size of the OMG battery and the tank cartos are bottom fed with a top coil, so they seem to burn every time you use them.

I read on here that p38 WTA from aromajuice is amazing stuff, so I emailed them and got them to sell me a bottle (even though they were out of stock on their website). I LOVED the stuff. I cut it with menthol ice and it was amazing. I was refilling old mistic cartos and it rocked. Now it seems like the problem I will have is that its constantly out of stock. The 10ml bottle lasted me about a week and a half, which is acceptable for a $12 investment, but if I cant order it on demand, its not going to do me any good.

So now that you have the back story, I can ask for some advice.

First, I know I Cant live off mistic batts and cartos for ever. I also know that I dont want a big rig for every day use. I am a computer engineer and consultant, so im always on the go. I have been considering the 510-T from joytech or the ecab. They seem appealing to me because they use tanks and atomizers instead of cartos, however I have not used this type of setup before. I understand that the tanks arent huge, but im always carrying around a laptop case, so carrying refilling supplies will be no big deal.

The eroll seems like a nice rig, but the small batteries and .3ml tanks seem like they would be more of a hassle for a heavy vaper like myself. The ecab seems like a nice rig, but the 510-t seems like a better value.

As far as juice is concerned, I really need help finding something decent. I was a menthol smoker, full flavor, pall mall or newport. The p38 was really great, but its availability is poor.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ego twist and vision vivi nova minis, the ego twist you can adjust the voltage to find the spot you enjoy. The vision vivi nova minis rarely leak and are top coil so give a warmer vape that you are looking for. You could get a vision spinner instead of the twist since they both do the same adjustable voltage but some like those better.

Otherwise the smaller setups don't last as long before needing charging. And don't forget to get a couple batteries so you have one while one is charging.

I was just in a similar situation with a friend of mine - I wound up grabbing him an Itaste VV V3 and he couldn't be happier. USB charging, VV/VW and a pretty solidly built device. I believe it has ego threading for some of the inexpensive ego style devices and if you get the kit, you get some iclears along with it.

As for a good menthol - I was on the hunt for the first few months I started vaping but gave up - nothing = newport.

i swear by EVODs, they are amazing. i would try that and a variable voltage ego of sorts: say a ego/kgo twist or a vision spinner... something like that.

if you want something smaller, "cigalike" then the joye 510 and the smokelessimage volt are highly recommended on here.

EDIT: i forgot to welcome you, so.. WELCOME TO ECF!! :D :toast:

Good evening, Supacool. And welcome to ECF.

I know at this point in vaping, you want something the size and shape of a real cigarette. Problem is, batteries that small can't reasonably keep up with your demands. Nearly all new vapors soon discard their cigalikes for something at least the size of an eGo class battery. These can better keep up with your vapor demands and depending upon the length of the battery, can last 6 - 12 hours or longer between charges.

Concerning juice, the best advice I can give is to find vendors that offer sampler packs of their flavors. This will save you money in the long run and keep you from wasting money on larger bottles that you won't care for. Once you find a sampler you like, then buy more in a larger size bottle. Juice flavors are extremely subjective to the user; no one can tell you what you may like.

Thanks Baditude! I have a basic ego kit, and have been looking to see which tanks would work better than the Ce4's I have now, and you have just helped solidify what I had origionally thought! Supa, I also first started on Blu's and Njoy , and I agree.. disgusting! I have several great juices ( for my tastes) and just need a better delivery system. Good luck!!

I agree that for home or weekend use (at the bar or what not) an ego is likely the best option. The problem I have is that I am a working professional, and having to explain the people what the mini water pipe looking thing is on the desk just a hassle. They are too big to keep in your pocket, especially when you have a clearo or a tank atty. I have purchased an joyce 510-t kit witha PCC case for myself and my fiance. I have also purchased an assortment of juices from several vendors.

I really want to keep vaping and stay off analogs. For me its a daily struggle. I sincerely enjoyed smoking. It is ingrained into everything I do. I talk on the phone I want to smoke. I take a break and I want to smoke. I drive my car and I want to smoke. Ive managed to be smoke free for 3 weeks now and I want to keep going. I would really like to find a juice that tastes like certs mints, the ones that come in the roll. I love the taste of those.

I did try kringles curse, it was a little too strong for my tastes.

The mistic menthol taste is really hard to nail down. Its minty with a touch of tang, almost like citric acid, but not a lemon or orange flavor. Its got a nice th too. Not too harsh but not too smooth either.

Just a foot note, I really dont think I am addicted to nicotine. Last year I started vaping on 6mg liquid and worked down to no nic. I dont have nic fits, I just really liked smoking. allot.

Baditude.. You said that was a protank on the ego beside the vivi nova, is it a mini protank or a really fat ego making an odd looking full sized protank look small?

It's a regular size ProTank on a Vision Spinner, which is slightly larger in diameter than a Joytech Twist which has the mini Vivi Nova on it in the second pic.

Well then welcome back to vaping.

Now check this out its the itaste mvp
2013-07-08 00.14.02.jpg
2013-07-08 00.14.19.jpg

it has a 2600mah battery that has a usb out put so you can power other devices of of it like say charge your phone wiles vaping. Its verry simple variable volt buton for volts up button for volts down it has 3 differant threading patterns and is rock solid. I know its a little big but its actually smaler than a pack of smokes and you used to Carrie around so. . . And man the batter last almost 2 days of heavy vaping.

I would recommend the i taste mvp and a nice carto tank or the i clear 30 that it comes with.

Plus the itaste is square and people dont pay that much mind to it. It just looks like a back up drive or some kind of regular electronic device. Especially with a simple carto on top. It just looks like a smaler backup battery suply or something i never get asked about it, my mechanical however draws a lot of unwanted attention

if that is too big for you. . . Something the size of a pack of buts, then you really are limited to ego style devices, anything smaller and you wont have the battery life or the amps to run a decent clearo or tank all day

Fit to comfort can be a big issue. I'll not offer advice but just let you know a bit of what I use.

Sitting around and relaxing, like today, My eVic in mini mode is the ticket. A perfect fit to hand, like the Provari mini is to so many. Light enough to not even sit down, just hang on to. From one minute to the next it may be topped with a T3-mini, an Evod or even a Protank. Just depends on mood.
I may at any time switch to one of a half dozen different setups sitting to my side. Mechanical Mods with different types of Tanks or another electronic with a dripping atty.
For work or a day away from home I travel well armed. Usually 1-2 eVics, at least 1 EGO-650/T3 setup, a T2 on my ego 450 and 2 ego 350's with T3-mini or Evod. Then I have a 350mah in pocket with a carto or mini carto.

No mater what mood strikes, I have something I can grab and enjoy.:D

The Joye 510-T is a good choice that still looks somewhat like a cigarette. And you can pretty much refill any carto if you don't mind some after taste of the original juice.

I've got a 5-pack of Bloog cartos and have the same problem with not enough juice. But a quick topup using the condom method and they're good to go.

The 510-T was a fail. I picked up 2 kits, one for me one for my girl. Her atomizers were defective and didn't produce much vape and one was so stiff you couldnt draw through it. Mine worked ok at first but the vapor production is lame and the vapor is cold. Not warm at all. Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA says they dont accept returns, so looks like I just shelled $80 for nothing.

This is the most frustrating part, which is why I went back to smoking. Nothing works like its advertised. Id have no problem picking up a ego now but its hard to swallow after wasting $80 on the 510-T kits.
