I just read about the dual coil technology. It is said they spread the heat over a larger surface, give more vapor and burn cooler.

Is this all true? If so, I wanna build one. I do not use cartos. I want this to be something I can hook up to a homemade pass through. Of course i can rebuild my pass through to suit the need this thing will have.

question, does it actually use two atty's? er.. does it use up twice as much juice?

I didn't read a lot on them, don't know what info to trust.

Any ideas on this?

While I'm at it I just gotta Rant. A mod is something you build yourself at home or a shop for your personal use. Now, if you go and actually mass produce your 'mod' it's no longer a mod but a full product. I take issue with e-cig companies calling the things they sell Mods - yes, perhaps it was once a mod but it isn't anymore.

It's like a mod for a video game. Take the popular Gary's Mod for example. It was a mod as long as you needed to use it with your existing Half Life game but as soon as it went Standalone, it wasn't a mod anymore.

Furthermore it's misleading. When you google for e-cig mods looking for DIY projects and get all these hits on pages for mass produced products it kinda sucks. It's like false advertising.

End rant

Here's a dual coil mod I built a few months ago. I adapted the M Series CE2 for the purpose. I also used rolled mesh in place of the existing string wicks. If string is used, I suggest two independent wicks feeding down separately to the juice tank - as a single one threaded through both coils would dry out far too quickly on use.

This device required patience to build but worked very well. I housed it in a larger-diameter plastic cylinder for several day's testing and then (stupidly) attempted to squeeze it back into its original steel M Series atty tube. It worked for a few minutes and then shorted out with a pop.

In effect, this is a dual coil Genesis.
