I'm returning after a long lapse to real cigs. I wanted to throw some thoughts out there to get back in to vaping.

I would like to find something that is ultra reliable and that being the main requirement. I can spend a week or more in the wilderness with nothing but a constant 12v supply.

It was common for me to alternate between 2 Janty sticks in my pocket before I defected. There is a long story with what happened. The main issue being that I spent too much time working with one vendor on warranty. They were great and satisfying at the time, but I want to do it a little different this time.

I'm currently looking at the Apex Vapor UltraMAX kit. Maybe even two of them. I just don't want to make an uninformed impulse buy. If I did do this, what should I do for options? Any reason to steer away from the kit and build my own?

Although the Apex is probably a fine product, I would take a look at the GLV-2 and GLV-XL products for comparison. The GLV-XL mini uses a long lasting 18650 battery and so would give you more vape time per battery.

You could bring enough spare batteries to the woods to last for a week, or if your 12 volt power supply is the vehicle battery, either get a car charger to plug in to the power outlet, or a power inverter to convert 12 volts to 110. Just keep the vehicle battery charged up.

If the model you want is out of stock, go ahead and contact them for an expected delivery date. Most of their products are customizable, so I believe they manufacture on demand.

And as you stated as your main requirement, the GLV products have a reputation of being ultra reliable.
