Hi there,

I'm using a Provari and tank/boge setup which most of the time is flawlessly working. However, I'm experiencing some strange problems with my cartos. When I use them for the first time (SR cartos) they will have between 2,9-3,1 ohms which is perfectly fine but suddenly I notice they stop working as well as they did a few hits ago (might even taste a little burnt). So first thing I check is ohms. Not even a few hours later since I initially started using the carto it shows 2,7 ohms. So i lower the volts in order to not burn it. Taste comes back. A few hours later the same thing. Now it shows 2,4 ohms and this will go on until the carto eventually goes to vapor's heaven. Have any of you guys experienced something similiar? I haven't and have been using this setup for quite a couple of month now. Just to clarify: this doesn't happen ALL the time but I'd say it's 1 out of 3 cartos that behave that way...

Kind regards,
Liquinator

ive been vaping for years and have never had a smoktek fail on me. i bought boges and they tasted like garbage, thanks to bogegate of course.

the success and functionality of a carto relies very much on the users ability to properly prime and select voltage, but some, like the boges i had, were just trash.

It's a grab bag with the cartomizers. Mostly I prefer the Boge and Ikenvape (when I can get them) because they last longer. But with the Boge..I inevitably get a burnt-out-of-the-box one, or two out of the five. And some are more "gurgly" than others. But I do think they last pretty well when you get a good one. Amazingly long. It varies what the ohms do...sometimes they see to gradually go UP and sometimes they don't change at all...and sometimes they seem to go down in ohms (but rarely does that happen). It's odd. Then one day..the good ones just start tasting "off"...and don't draw well...and they are consigned to carto heaven.

I do okay with Smoktech cartos...when they aren't bad out of the box...but they don't seem to last quite as long for me in a tank.

Those are the only cartos I use and have not had that problem.

Although all the replies do not solve the problem, as expected, it's still nice to hear that I'm not the only one ;) ... I was writing this when this just happened again and carto went from 3,0 to 2,7 to 2,4... thought it would die pretty soon. Still works like a champ with adjusted voltage of course. Strange cartos :)

Just had an F16 boge test out at 0.9ohm instead of 1.8ohm brand new, and another at 2.1ohm. Obviously I was right to avoid Boge's all this time as they have always been hit and miss for me. Luckily they are cheap enough to not stress too hard when they get binned. I would recommend using a better carto like Ikenvape's if you don't want issues constantly, they always test within 0.1ohm of the rating.

Odd, the only one I've had issues with was an eventual flooding problem.

You may be starting you vape at to high a voltage and slowly degrading the coil. If you are running on the high edge of taste vs. burn this could happen.
Mine normally get stopped up over long periods of use. possibly running a bit to cool.
