I've noticed that I don't always notice the draw tightening up on a carto until I use a brand new one, and then it seems "airy". Sometimes a carto just needs to "break in" a little. As long as the juice is feeding and your getting bubbles, the hole/slot should be fine. Sometimes a fresh tank carto doesn't "bubble" well until I vape it for a while.

Drip into the carto before using it(30 drops) some people prime it, but I drip my e-juice into the carto! The only thing you have to REMRMBER is, Smok Tech holes are NOT big enough for thicker blend e-juice! Be careful when making bigger slots because then you'll flood your carto! I actually watched PBusardo's video on how big the slots should be, because he uses thick e-juice! I hope this HELPS and GOOD LUCK!

One of the things I have found in my own experience is at first I was filling my tank then holding my finger on the bottom and drawing on the carto to pull the juice into the filler. Doing this I was ending up flooding my cartos on many occasions. Went through alot of cartos that way as they never seem to peform they way they should. I've since opted to inject with a sryinge 1 ml of juice direct into the filler in the carto. For me this proved to work much better. Also if I have forgotten to inject it I have gotten that dry burnt taste too. So now I do this with all new cartos and have great success. Maybe someone has a better method or other possible answers for you....

Edit: I also read here on the forums of a possible vacuum effect within the tank and useing throughout a few hours or the course of the day. I do believe this is a possiblity to poor performance. In this case today i just moved my tank up enough to allow it to equalize out and pushed it back and started vaping again. It did seem to be a better vape.

fix number one- remove fill screw if you have one/ or take top half off and vape it twice. The tanks do create a vacuum effect since they can be air/water tight so get some of the pressure out
Fix two- fill the cart with a few drops and let it soak in to see if flavor improves, sometimes all the filler doesn't get liquid
Fix three- it may be new carto time the coil may be getting bunked up and not creating that lovely popping noise some of us enjoy to hear
