Greetings all! So I have a Aspire Nautilus that I got about a month ago and I loved it. Went through 3 coils with no problems - amazing vapor and taste. Yesterday my evic said that the coil I used had a short, so I replaced it. First inhale tasted ok, but after that, it tastes horrible. Tried another coil and same thing. Tastes like burnt yeti hair and death.
I don't have anymore spares.

First, did the short damage my evic to cause issues with the other coils? Second, is there anyway to revitalize the coils that taste horrible - at least until my replacements come in the mail?

thanks all!

It won't be your evic - that will be just fine.

More than likely, you've got wicking issues with the new coil units - it happens. Fill your tank normally, let sit for 10 minutes, take 3 or 4 primer draws (suck in through the mouthpiece, but don't fire the battery). If that doesn't clear up the taste, take very short, pulsing draws for about 5 seconds, repeating until the taste clears.

You haven't (and won't) permanently damage the coil units that taste bad, nor will your evic suffer.

Are you using too high of a wattage/voltage? These Aspires seem to like it when you keep them low. When I install a new coil, I cover the air hole and take a few draws before placing it on the battery. This method brings juice into the coil.

I have never had an issue with one but, these are also great used as drippers if you want to try another flavor with the juice that you have in the tank, etc. Just remove the drip tip and drip a few drops down the air tube directly to the coil.

Good luck to you.

I was recently reading another thread on the nautilus and other people found that if it was filled to the top they had similar issues but if only half filling it - worked fine. Another guy noticed a seal had a bump and it was an air issue.

I will try this. Any resolution if this is the case?
