need some advice

I've been using an io6 for about two weeks now, and I've put several types of juices (70PG/30 initially, 100VG more recently) and flavors through it. Today, I've had to stop using it due to bad taste. I can taste the flavors of the juice that I use, but the finish on the exhale has developed that kind of burnt taste. I've blown it out nearly everyday of it's use, but nothing else. It also hasn't been dry burned or used if not totally wet.

Does anyone have some advice on how to remedy this? Will it go away after some time and more use, or should I try to clean it, or is it time for the trashcan?

Not really sure how it does with 100% vg, but that might be the culprit. Although I think some I06 users vape 100%. Someone much more versatile will probably be able to answer it for you.

But I have cleaned my I06's in alcohol & they have done fine.

Give it a vodka bath for 30 mins in a syringe tube (capped), gently move it around after the 30 mins to shake up anything stuck, then let it sit for another 30 mins. After the full hour has passed, take it out, blow it out into a paper towel, and let it air dry for a couple minutes. Reprime - vape.

I'm glad you finally got a great answer to this question. I can't vape VG so I couldn't answer but Loft knows his stuff. Great info lofty.

Yes, very good advice, indeed. I did this today with the atty of trouble and it's working just fine now with no burnt aftertaste at all. I did let it dry after the vodka bath for a couple of hours while a battery was charging. Primed it and rocking away. I"m going to stick with PG/VG blend juice with this one since I now have two dedicated VG atties.
