hey all, i recently got an iclear30 & the cheap standard ego battery i have dosn't work very well with it have to prime it and all that good stuff and wares out the charge way too quickly, does anyone on here know of a place i can get a really supper cheap twist style vv battery from out here in the north valley? i do not have a great budget for this right now i feel that once i get that then all i will have to worry about is my juices. i just need something that can run those beefy double coils with out having to prime them up to get them to heat saving battery life and me from a headache. (and getting yelled at by my wife for spending too much ;) ) if anyone could help me out that would be great luckily my battery works fine with my cheap stardust long wicks so not too many woaws just really want to start vaping on this ic30 and get a really good vape as soon as i press the button. i'm sure you can all relate.
thanks again

The Twist is a great step up from a standard eGo battery, but if you want to buy it from a brick and mortar, it's not going to be super cheap - they have overhead costs to consider that online-only shops don't have to contend with, and that gets passed on in the prices.

If you want to buy in person and need to stay in north-ish Phoenix, Zikwid's got 650mah Twists for 30 bucks, 1000mahs for about 6 dollars more. If you can get it online instead, Desert Vapes has the 650 for 20 bucks, with the 1000mah for 5 dollars more.

Benny,

It depends on what the resistance is on the head that's installed in your ic30 - I'm still running the stock head on mine, and it reads 2.1ohms on my Vamo, which falls right into the 'standard resistance' zone - me personally, I like a warmer vape so for 2-ish ohms, I'd run a Twist up almost full, 4.5v-4.8v. Naturally, your mileage may vary - optimal wattage (which is what the ohms vs volts thing ultimately maths out to) is a personal preference. When I'm paying attention to wattage, I stay around 10w. With the Twists though, the numbers on the dial are so hard to read that my use of them is 100% by feel. If I think the vapor's too weak or cool, I keep cranking it up until it's in my sweet spot. Since a Twist maxes out at 4.8v, you're save to go full bore on a stock ic30 head.

As for the Vision Spinner, I've never used one - just stuck with the Twists because Joye's always treated me well. I know many people use Spinners with no issues though, so I say go for whichever one will give you the most bang for your buck. More mah is always a good thing in my book, as vapers we have traded being slaves to tobacco to being slaves to the charger, and more mah means more time between charges.

If you're really in a rush, try emailing Dave there and asking if he can arrange to meet you somewhere convenient to both of you. Failing that, I'm sure he could give you a more accurate estimation of how long it will take to ship to you.

I have a hard time guesstimating at this stuff because our mail service here in Sunnyslope can be kinda flaky. Sometimes you'll go 3 days with no mail and then have a huge pile at once.
