I use a 510 and I have tried a few cart mods in an attempt to reduce the need to constantly top off. I have used the spring mod, but the poly fill gets stuck on the atty and then i get that god awful burnt taste, even when its wet. Plus my atty gets to saturated... not to the point of gurgling, but the vapor is harsh and the production is lower.
I have also tried blue foam (solo and with the spring mod) and i couldnt get that right either. Too much or not enough... leaking or a tough draw and no wicking. So i am back to polyfill and topping off every 5 drags.
Someone on a post talked about wetting the blue foam with water and then squeezing out prior to filling with eliquid for better wicking. My question is... would this work with the poly fill? Saturate the polyfill with water, squeeze out the excess and then fill the cart with juice. I'm thinking this would work as the fibers would essentially be half saturated with water and the eliquid would be heavier and by gravity would wick better.
In addition, i was wondering if cutting the polyfill near the mouthpiece end into a V shape would further help the wicking issue.
Any suggestions/comments?
