Need some help choosing a new mod...

So I have the Smoktech Zmax mini and after 1.5 weeks its malfunctioning..

So now i want to get something more reliable.. do you I save a few bucks and get a Zmax v5 or go with a Provari?

Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on your budget. Only you can decide. If you can afford the Provari, it's a no-brainer. If you're young, and want to check out a variety of mods like mechanicals and dna devices, just get the Zmax for now. Innokin MVP v2 is an affordable, reliable unit as well.

A Provari will last for years, but if you plan on collecting or amassing a number of mods maybe the $$ is more wisely spent on variety atm?

Everyone's $$$ situation is different.

well a provari wouldn't be a waste of time or money, but it is pricey....

as for tried and true usually suggest new vapors to get a 1300 mAh variable voltage ego spinner
I got mine from AltSmoke They have 1300 mAh vv ego spinners in all sorts of colors, even rainbow

New Vapor Info & Starter Kits

Some things to keep in mind:

• Try to stick to pv's (personal vapors) that have both the 510 and ego connections this way you have all kinds of options when it comes to juice delivery systems.
• Variable Voltage (vv) = everyone's taste is different so you can set your voltage up or down to help suit your needs as well as different juices and different juice delivery systems (cartomizers, tanks, ect) taste different at different voltages. (how many times can I say different)
• Variable Wattage (vw) I haven't tried yet but assuming it is the same principle as stated above for vv.
• Pass-through battery to be able to vape while charging.
• the higher the mAh the longer the battery life
• do you prefer a warm vape (top coil) or a cool vape (bottom coil)? top coil vs bottom coil tanks, to each their own...but go with glass or metal so that there's no worries about tank cracking juices.

If you had a bad experience with the Zmax, I'm not sure why you would even want to purchase something else from them. Sigelei also make the Zmax line and I've seen much fewer reported problems from them on the forums.

As for the Provari, only you can really answer that question. It is a great APV and will last you as long as you want it to. Even if you have any issues with it, Provape will stand behind the warranty. If it's out of warranty, they also offer inexpensive repair options.

If you do a quick search on Provari within the forums, you'll see some epic 50 page threads where people are asking if the Provari is worth it. Pretty much everyone who owns one says it is worth it and everyone who doesn't own one says it isn't.

The real truth is probably somewhere in between those camps. It's worth it to those that buy it.

If you want something that is reliable and won't break if dropped accidentally, will you for years, is easy to operate, great customer service then I say get a provari if you get the mini mod you can get an extension ring that with the cap will take it up to fit the 18650 too would be the best option. I have 2 reg sized ones and a mini and the Provape 1 I didn't want to keep wasting money on inferior products! Just my opinions.

Best bet is go to a b&m and see what feels right. Ask what they have seen the fewest problems with and what other people are using. What works best with your topper choice. For bang for the buck you can't beat a MVP2

If you've got the bones, definitely pull the trigger on the Provari. I love mine. It doesn't have crazy bells and whistles like other newer mods out there, and is a little outdated, but it has no real bearing on the vape quality and the experience it delivers. Screen is archaic, but it does exactly what it's supposed it. Controls can be time consuming and button gets a little touchy, but once you get the hang of it, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Accurate readings on voltage, Accurate ohm reader, battery indicator.

Heck it'll flip your pancakes for you if you ask it nicely.

a provari pops up it the classifieds every so often. there is a few there now and a MVP check it out.
having said that I had my MVP for months before I bought a provari mini and they both are great devices. my MVP is a little lonely lately. Seems to me after reading way to many of these types of posts if they mention provari you prolly want one so go for it. you won't regret it. Good luck!
