Hey guys and gals,

I'm looking for some help in terms of juice. My mom is very stuck on tobacco flavors and I can't find a good, light, smooth one that will work for her.

I tried some "dessert" like flavors: Apple, pina colada, amaretto, chocolate, and raspberry. I had her try my Hypnotic. She is using an RY4 variant but has tried Cowboy and American tobacco. She says the stronger tobacco flavors stink, but the desserty flavors smell like perfume.

I am at a loss because I don't use tobacco flavors, so I came to ask for help!

She smoked Marlboro Lights (still kinda does), so I am looking for something close to that, that doesn't have a strong, lingering scent. OR if there is any dessert flavor that isn't ... perfumy?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

I like some tobacco flavors...she might like Altcig's ry4. It's on the sweet side, has very little tobacco taste (sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't). I don't get any perfume smell from it at all. They've sent me some samples that I liked, too..butter yum and gooey caramel cookie. They're good occasionally.

Which flavor and from what vendor is she stuck on? That might help people to see what else she might like.

There are two issues with finding a good tobacco flavor.

1. Getting over the idea that it has to taste like a burning cigarette -- it will not. HOWEVER, a lot of people, myself included, have had to change brands in the past, and while the new brand might taste 'wrong', I found I adjusted in a week or so and after another week the new brand was the only one that tasted "right."

It took me about 2 months to stop trying to find something that tasted like my combustibles and start looking for a vaping flavor I liked for itself.

2. Poke at the "Natural Tobaccos" thread in the e-juice forum. I ended up on the-juice-formerly-known-as-Gandalf eventually. It is now called "Legend." A lighter one is Natural Perique from goodejuice.com but I find it TOO mild. There is an $18 10-sample package on want2vape.com that I've just ordered but I plan to steep it for a month after it arrives before I start trying out flavors, since IMO tobacco flavors NEED steeping.

I will say that AT FIRST I hated all of the flavors, then I fell in love with 555, then it started tasting too sweet and WAY too perfumy, then I fell in love with Natural Virginia from Prime Vaping, then I found Legend (gandalf) and now I have trouble vaping anything else. I'm also looking at other Natural Tobacco flavors in case I can become poly-juice-amous. (Is that a word? No? NOW it is!)

Samples are your friend. Steeping is your best friend.

BTW, I smoked for a year between starting vaping and quitting combustibles. Every improvement in equipment or juice flavor dropped my smoking down, until I stabilized at 1/2 PAD no matter what, so I quit for New Years. NO WAY IN HELL would I have succeeded if I had tried that 6 months earlier than I did. And I'm quite possibly older than your mom.

Vaping Zone has one called Real Cig in Ultra Light, Light and Regular. Works very well for new vapers. Their Desert Ship is also pretty nice, but a bit stronger. Prices are good, shipping is fast and you might be able to use ECF10 for a discount code.

Another couple good ones which are actual tobacco extractions are Heather's Heavenly Vapes, Dark Horse (lighter), Huntsman (deeper).

These are all what I use when I think I'd like a real cigarette.

I would give Backwoods Brew Backo a try in your mom's situation. This is what I got my wife to convince her to vape and quit smoking, and she had the same type of complaints your mom does about juice flavorings. Backo is very fresh tasting, with a nice throat hit, but no perfumy taste or scent.

You might try some Halo juices too, Torque56 and Freedom Smoke are really good for coming off analogs. They don't really taste like a cig but they feel like one when you vape them. Also they are thin and clean juices so they work good in about everything and won't gunk up a coil like some juices do. Very easy to work with for a newbie.
