I'm seeing so many product #'s and models thrown around on these forums that my head is spinning a bit. I'm looking to start using a ecig and dump the analogs for good. I need some advice on an ecig that looks like a regular cig (mini i guess?) that works well and produces good vapor. An American supplier would be preferred if possible. Any suggestions on a model and where to get it?

The 401 designation is an e-cig that is similar in size to an analog cigarette. Check the suppliers on the homepage of ECF. Some suppliers have given similar model names which can be confusing, especially when you are looking for spare parts. Here is a decent list of currently available models that may help you sort it all out...E-Cigarette Models

alternatively if you are willing to sacrafice the look and size of your e cig, go with a Joytech 510 (also known as Janty Dura in the US, or on the Totally Wicked site look for the Titan 510).

this e cig produces serious amounts of vapour and constant hardcore throat hits.

it truely depends on how many you smoke a day to how diifficult it will be for an e cig to satisfy your needs. I know my mothers 8084 super mini was very very displeasing for me, so I decided to seek out a better alternative. my girlfriend quickly purchased a mini e cig (DSE 901) in pink and it was great, but the 510 is just that bit better for my use.

good luck regardless and happy vaping :)

The RN4081 / pee-wee / super-mini is an ok device.unfortunatley it does seem to put alot of people off e-cigs because of limited battery life and small carts.

Don't mean to put a downer on your purchase , Some people love the super-mini , but be aware it's not the Greatest device out there.

The M401 and the Intellicig Evo are rated the best amoung real cig sized units, but I'd still recommend the dse-901( mini ) as a first purchase.

It has a proven track record and is a good comprimise between size, battery life and cart size. Also the parts are stocked everywhere.

Check out the device preferences poll for some other opinions :

This is it's biggest downfall, to get me through a day I needed 5 batteries and perhaps 6-10 carts because I am a heavy smoker. It's upside is massive vapor and easy draw but that is dependent on the atomizer. My N-Pro had a very large hole in the atty but replacements have a hole half the size and make it a difficult smoke. I had got to where I would just bring one cart and refill all day.
I also have a Dura C and it's only advantages are battery life and cartridge size, oh and the soft plastic mouthpeice is easier to hold in my teeth. I hate the manual switch and wish it had an LED, perhaps if they had put the switch at the other end it would be more confortable..
