The answer will be the same as in your other thread: I Bought Some 38 Amp Batteries and... | E-Cigarette Forum

1. Figure out your CDR
2. Use the CDR and your batteries' max voltage output to calculate your target resistance
3. Use steam engine to figure out how to built a coil at that resistance with the stuff you have on hand
4. vape and hope it doesn't blow up

I'm taking the ones it comes with out and slapping 2 efest imr's in

We already determined those have at best 30A CDR. That's 0.14 coil @ 127.5W

I have 24 and 26 g kanthal.. How should I built it so it'll have low resistance ?

Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

That's ~5 wraps @ 24G

I feel like an enabler and i'm really hesitant because you're using a ghetto prison-made box mod with unknown eFests and want to go as low as possible without knowing how to figure out these things yourself.

@Completely Average If I write the obituary will you send the flowers?

Edit: What I wrote isn't for parallel but f dat noize.

Here is my current Dark Horse build, using 24g kanthal:

And my current Little Boy build, using 22g kanthal:

I'm what you would call an amateur, I am trying to learn more have have some vapes to play with so I can learn more you know? I bought this box to maximize enjoyment, flavor and clouds.. I want to harness the power but In a safe way

That's reasonable. Trying to build the lowest resistance possible within a couple hundred ohms of resistance away from blowing up isn't. Aim for 1.0 - 0.5 and work your way down. The same principles apply; you just need to be more accurate with less tolerance for error as you get closer to the boom threshold.

Yeah I want to get in the ballpark and maybe work down a little but stay away from the danger zone lol!

Well the batteries are in parallel, so you can safely do lower resistances than you could do on a single battery mod. I love mechs and unregulated boxes. I have lots and its all that I use. You will learn it. Just know that its technically possible to draw slightly over 50 amps at .08.... this won't actually happen since there will be voltage drop, but if you wanted to be overly safe, you should look at the Sony VTC batteries. But if you keep your builds above .11, which is still going to make massive clouds, the current draw is going to be less than 38 amp. So your 20A+ CDR batteries will be fine.

Nice! I want to create a build like that! I have a little boy and dark horse .. But I like to make big coils
I know you have them, thats why I picked those to show the coils. Those builds will make the clouds you are looking for, though. If new at this, don't try the quad build the first time. But the same coils in a dual config will be fogging it too.

ETA: a bigger, macro-sized coil is going to be higher resistance. Maybe good to start out, but not a good way to get power from this mod.

I've built a few coils and experimenting with twisted kamthal coils.. But on my mech mod with a green Sony it wouldn't heat up so very little vapor.. But I have made about 10 pairs and I don't have a way to test them so... I hope they are safe :/ (I have a resistance tester coming in the mail so I dont blow my face off)

If there is a greater wire size, meaning a lower guage or twisted, then more power will be required. Also, if you add more coils, more power will be required. So, on a mech mod, it needs to be a lower resistance. They aren't heating up because the coils are too big, wrapped around too large a diameter, and with too many wraps for that size of wire.

I didn't know you don't even have an ohm meter. You definitely need that, most especially if you don't have any idea of the resistances you are wrapping. But they are definitly too high. Right now you are the opposite of blowing your face off. You aren't low enough to vaporize your e-liquid.

So when u get my American muscle how should I do the coils? 24g 5 wrap or..? I'm sorry I'm so ignorant in this area.. I'm trying to learn and am picking up new things daily!

Be aware that doing so will drop the amp rating. This mod claims a working 50A max. Depending on which Efest batteries you put in it you may drop that down to 30A or even less.
They are the batteries in the attached photo will it still drop the amp rating? And what is the amp rating ? The power to my RDA?

They are in parallel. So the combined CDR of two 30A batteries is 60A. Two 20A would be 40A.

Start with two 24g coils, 6 wrap. 5 wrap would work too, but start with the 6. Around 2mm. If you can't pull off a 2mm, maybe 2.5 at the most. Don't make them bigger than that though.

I've heard this question a lot and my typical responce... Why would you want to go that high in wattage? One of the best reasons to buy a mod "capable" of high wattages is due to it's multiple battery, it will last longer on a single charge with standard builds.

I've got two Sig 150 mods and my batteries will last two days with a standard dual coil (around .6 ohm) at 50-55 watts and give me a warm, full vape with lots of clouds.

Sure! it's nice to know you've got that power. Can't argue with that, but you'll probably never use it all.

My sentiments exactly, I have numerous box mods capable of all sorts of power from 30W max to 200w Max....I currently use as my favorite mods the Eleaf 50 @ 35W with a Smok VaorChaser running a shop standard 0.6ohm and my partner wants to trow me out of the room when I start vaping as the clouds are humongous....I aslso use the Xpro 80 again no higher than 35 W and with a Meganus Tank from Vapeston I do not need any more power for cloud or taste. Also the SMY 180 God Mod which I rarely now use I have yet to go over the 40W power. Yes I do mess with RBA's but to date have not needed the extra power......Indeed I bought the higher power box mods for battery longevity as I got tired of replacing batteries in single battery mods. I once tried to push the SMY to 100W with a rebuild but hated the taste and heat factor. Drippers with large coils and heaps of wicking may be different but in all honesty I do not dig the drippers as I am a person on the go all the time and a refilled tank is more my scene.
