Initially I was so worried about giving people 510-T kits because they were not very enjoyable, but after vaping all day on a 510-T with the XL cartridges I have to say that I was very satisfied and now I'm confident that everyone else will appreciate these.

It's one of the industry's best kept secrets that 510-T tanks vape like a champ with the XL cartridges so keep that under your hat Phil and don't go speading it around eh.

Why don't you try (since they are so close), lending them a couple 510's and riggings.... since this was your original, its the one that you are most experienced with as a starter and allows you to offer real life tips, findings, suggestions. This way, you and they can test the waters to see if there is interest in pursuing vaping for them without an unnecessary outlay of cash. Then they can decide what to "upgrade" to if they wish to continue on.

This is what I usually do..... lend stuff (sometimes give stuff) to get others started who are interested. It makes me feel good doing it, and I never have to worry about feeling guilty "pushing" something I enjoy should it not work out for them. I'll usually make a deal with them that if they decide not to continue with it, to return it to me to help others. Same goes should they later upgrade and are not using it anymore or haven't paid it forward to another person interested.

LoL...... people laugh at me because I'm so for these things knowing how well they can work for people, yet I'm one of the ones who can't make the committed switch so far after 3 plus years. Oh well..... the ones I've helped and those who can overlook my own shortcoming make it all worth while.
That's my plan stan!!!! Thanks for the tip, but I will have to order some more batts, because my batts I got from jack back in January are starting to only last just over half an hour now. Is that normal?

wellllll........ considering that was your first set up (and your a vapaholic, hehe), they could have reached their use demise...

However, I've had 510 Dura batts (manuals) for over 3 yrs of constant use by myself in the beginning and as loaners, and they still work fine, obviously not as good as when new but last for a couple hrs of heavy vaping. Hell, my Dura 510 atty's still work with no cleaning aside from blowing out and gravity drains.

What are dura batts?

I have been trying to figure out what the heck you guys are talking about, vaping a 510-T atty with an XL cartridge instead of a tank??? I don't know if it is just me but I am not following, could someone post some links on the hardware that you are talking about please?

I don't mean to blow the lid off of one of the industry's best kept secrets so pm me if you must ;)

Lelly,
its pretty much this assembled: Smk 510 T Starter Kit-3.jpg

using these cartridges which are considered large (XL) vs regular:

No cartomizer involved, just battery + atomizer (510-T) + XL cartridge.

I'm still amazed with the 510-T and XL cartridges setup - I've been vaping away on Vaporium's Lemon Sicily (delicious :vapor:) all weekend on this setup. I barely reached for my trusty Reo Grand.

I went over to my parents' for lunch this afternoon to give them their kits and I quickly showed them the basic inner workings of the e-cig, how to refill it, etc. Within 5 minutes of explaining they took their 510-T loaded with Passion Fruit ( :) ) and they immediately took to it. This coming from 2 people who constantly laughed at me when I pulled out my "walkie-talkie" Reo Grand and inhaling vapor.

The great thing about the 510-T atomizers is that there doesn't seem to be any primer liquid in it so I didn't even have to give them the spiel about how it might taste like crap for a few hours which I was afraid would discourage them a little.

The battery life is a little disappointing, but I'm hoping that eventually I'll be able to get them to switch to an eGo battery and they can still use their 510-T atties and tanks.

Bottom line: 510-T

OK, I thought you guys were talking about cartridges, lol. So 0.7mL is XL? The only ones I have tried is the joye and they only hold .5mL, are they interchangable? Is the smoktech 510-T better than the Joye 510-T? anyone have a comparison? I was going to try out some of the joye LR 510-T next time I do a healthcabin order, just wondering if anyone has tried both and can tell me if there is a big difference.

I have both the joye 510-T and Smok 510-T . Is the smoktech 510-T better well I was suprised at how well it did work . The atomizers are almost the same ie they have the spike in them and I assume that you can use the same cartridges with them but the Smok 510-T cartidges are of a different design . They have a tank but at the end of the tank is a bit of filler that is glued in although not all the way around . You can remove the cap with the filler or probe the edges of the filler with a blunt needle and find a way into one of the two small holes under the filler . The atomizer spike has the wick sticking up like a small hair that makes contact with that bit of filler . This seem to work really well although time will tell . The cartridges are a little loose in the atomizer but don't seem to fall out when rotated upside down but might not take much to have it fall . I use my lips to make sure the cartridge is all the way down when I vape . I have not used it for long but like I said it seems to work really well .

    in a cave, eh?

You just blow the primer out, drip 10 drops into your atomizer and let it soak up for 10 minutes. You don't want to vape primer. :)

Ok! I have a volt in the mail! I will definately take that one over there for them to try, get my 510 batts ordered asap as well, and then get the omega all primed up and ready to go, plus my mini tank that I got from the UK, I will bring that too. That is 4 devices.. I will bring smart carts, 510 t tanks and atties, regular atties LR atties to try on the 3.7v, my HV cartos to try on the 6v (2 different batts for the omega). I won't bring carts though, cuz they suck, but I will also bring a modd'd ce2 r4 carto, gosh what I am forgetting? PCC I can bring, for the 510. My pcc is en route from the UK for my mini tankomizer so that may not be here for a bit. I hope this is going to be enough for them to figure this all out! Oh right! My 510 passthrough!!!
