The threaded metal sleeve on the bottom of one of my CE5 clearos has come loose. I tried using some Elmer's glue to fix it, but that didn't work too well. It held for one tankful until I had to refill it and is loose again. Any suggestions on what kind or brand of adhesive would be a good, safe fix?

Hi Doctor J, I use this, in the slow-cure version, for all "odd" glue repair jobs.
Quik-cure 5min epoxy 9oz Bob Smith Ind. - Hardware Sealers - Amazon.com

Amazon.com: Bob Smith 206 Slow-Cure 9oz Epoxy: Home Improvement
Actually the slow-cure says 30 min. - though it can take longer, depending on how well mixed - and I have used this for over 3 years and love it. I don't believe there is an expiration on it. I remember in late 2012 fixing a crack in the plastic tank of a ce4 and it worked well. Good luck

ce type attys are not known for their durability.... pretty much use a week and then throw it away...
have you considered upgrading to a better tank? purchasing the glue to fix it probably costs more than a new atty...

I use the Aspire CE5's and I get a lot more use than a week out of mine. I rinse them really well and change the coils regularly as I use them mainly for sampling purposes before I put juice in my Nautilus or Nautilus Mini's. Plus they are less cumbersome on my penstyle VV I use for working in the yard or when I go fishing, etc...

I kinda figured I'd probably just have to toss it, but i was hoping someone might be able to suggest a quick fix with some cheaper glue/epoxy. My wife says I'm cheap; I prefer the term "frugal". :D
