I'm having an issue with one of my itaste 3.0 batteries. The bottom end where the micro USB charger connects seems to have come loose. The battery still works fine but if I'm not careful when unplugging it the whole bottom piece slides out. On the inside of the bottom piece, there seems to have been glue. Is it safe to re-glue it? If so, what kind. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are we talking about the iTaste VV?

Man, that thing is covered and slathered in failure sauce, at least in my opinion. Great concept, horrible device. We ordered a bunch, but when they started coming back left and right, we decided right then and there that was the last stock order for that device. When they're gone, they're gone, and we warn everyone who buys it that, although it is under warranty, there are no returns. Just exchanges. What we're trying to impress upon the purchaser is that, "What you're buying now may very well suck, and if it turns out to suck, we can only replace it with another device that may very well suck..."

EDIT: We tell them it sucks, too. If they go ahead and buy it, that's when we tell them it can only be exchanged and not returned.

I agree. I ordered another one from another vendor and after having to return 2 of them and getting nasty emails, I just gave up and settled for what I had. I really like the fact that its vv/vw and its small. I haven't been able to find anything else like it in that size.

The only other VV device I know of in that size class is the eGo-VV (non-VW); otherwise, any 18350 vv/vw mod (or 18490 mechanical with a kick) would be the next choice/size up.

Interesting thread. One has to wonder how many 3.0s are out there... considering as a self-contained VW device, it is (currently) in a class, uniquely it's own.

A small "test sample" to be sure, but I've had four iTaste 3.0s bought at different times from 2 different vendors - three gifted out and one I've hung on to. Only one had the bottom come loose and that was quickly repaired with hot glue. All are still running well, to my knowledge... in fact, I'm using the one I kept right now, while my 18X batteries are charging. ;-)
