Hi all! Have very recently returned to vaping after about a 2 year hiatus. Started back with a couple twists and picked up 3 Kanger Protank 2's,and 3 mini Davide' s and was quite happy with them, until.....I picked up a SID and got 2 matching SMOK Vivi Novas.

Fell in love with the tighter draw and the flavor compared to what I was getting with the twist set up.

Now, I can barely tolerate the airy draw I get from the Davides, and the Protanks are a little better, but not as tight as I've come to enjoy with the SMOK Vivi´s.

I finding, however, that I'm sometimes getting dry hits on the Vivi´s, even with half a tank, and having to turn the tank on the side and roll it to make sure it's wicking.

Is it user error?

Are there tanks you'd recommend with a less airy draw?

I liked the Davides, because I liked the size. I like the Protanks also when I've got an all day vape loaded up. But would like them to be a little tighter in the draw.

The dry hits would be from a wicking issue or gunked up coils. The wicks are not able to keep up with your vaping style.

I'll recommend the Innokin iClear 30 clearos. These are dual, top coil, clearos that use 16 wicks in total. They are able to keep up with my vaping and I rarely need to tilt them to keep the wicks wet. The flavor production is a hair better than my Kanger Protanks, and just a hair less than my cartotanks.

Hmmmm, I changed out the atomizer with wick, and only 1/2 through a tank and it's dry hits again. I'd say I'm a light vaper, I'd hate to see how it keeps up with a heavy vaper. LOL

Do you find your Protanks to be airy draws, like I'm finding?

Does the iClear 30 have a tighter draw on it? (I actually picked some up from Fasttech today - now just have to wait).

Ive tried a bunch of clearos and am happiest with the aspire bdc mini nova!
I had to clean it with boiling water tho cuz it tasted horrid at first!
I have tried t2, t4, t3s, evod, iclear 16, iclear 10s, vivi nova, aspire bdc ego and 510

The aspire bdc mini nova has a good draw, not airy and not likemsucking a wnedys frosty thru a straw lol, no burnt taste, no twirly swirly dances, clean taste, its actually making me like some juices i didnt like before.
The first day of use everything tasted kinda muted. I almost gave up, then bam all of a sudden flavor just popped!

I've read numerous opinions that the Protank has an airy draw. Personally I don't find much difference between the draw of any of the clearomizers I've tried, and I've tried most of them within the last few months. My daughter was getting her first mod setup this summer, and we auditioned Innokin iClear 16 & 30, Kanger Protank 1 & 2 and Evod, and Vision Vivi Nova.

We both agreed we preferred the iClear 30 for its better flavor and vapor production, better consistancy, easy fill, larger capacity, and rotatable drip tip. If it used pyrex rather than plastic, I'd consider it a perfect clearotank.

The Kanger Protanks were a close second. Neither of us liked the metal drip tip. Some flavors are muted.

The Vivi Nova just seemed a notch below everything else in all categories except juice capacity.

The iClear 16 and Evods fell out of favor quickly because we were both using 510 threaded devices which required an adaptor, but their other qualities were comendable.
