Hello - long time vaper, but new to Halo. I have always been a cartomizer kind of girl, but the little mini tanks intrigued me so I ordered 2 to give them a try. Right off the bat they tasted burned to me, although I did let them sit a bit and turned them upside down first to make sure that everything was saturated before giving them a try. I used two different juices in them - one a very thin juice and the other tribeca which seems much thicker. I am having burn taste issues with both juices after very brief usage and have a few questions:

1) Why am I getting the burned taste? I am using manual G6's so not exactly high voltage devices.
2) Even though I am having problems with both types - are the thicker juices harder on the the tanks?
3) Are there some tips or tricks I am missing? Am I "doing it wrong"?

I really liked the first few puffs off of each one, but after it has just been bleh... I have them soaking in warm water right now and will try again once they are dry so any tips you can give me are appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

Hi.

After filling, I let tanks sit for at least 10 minutes. As with all tanks I use, I take a few non-powered draws to help the juice wick up. With a regular battery, I try to start a new tank (or coil) with a half discharged bat, not one fresh off the charger. And I'll hit it quick, short draws. I'm trying to break the coil in. Then I'll increase the draw time and then go to a fresh battery. With a variable volt (or watt) I turn it down low to start. After a few hits, I'll slowly dial it up.

Having said that, I find the minitanks do hit hotter than a carto or the Triton tank.

I haven't used mine in a while, but I didn't get a burnt taste. It was just a bit too hot.

I hope this helps and they start behaving themselves for you.

:)

Thanks for the tips Dave, that seems to have done the trick! All day yesterday with the tanks and so far so good! ;) I so wanted to love the mini tanks, and now I think I do!
