I bought the aqua vapor pro dse901. It is nice as a starter I guess, but it produces little vapor. I'm on day two and I basically have to keep it in my mouth just to get enough. It's not quenching my nicotine thirst. I see "mods" but what will fit this e cig? Is there something bigger? More vapor, bigger res for juice, bigger battery. It doesn't have to look like a cig, just fit in my pocket. Any suggestions? How do I fit aftermarket parts to my current, how do I know what works with what? Do I go by 901? What does 901 mean?

I had to google that to see what it was as I'd never heard of it before. Basically those are what they are and as far as I read, they can't be added to.

If you want more battery life, larger capacity for liquid, etc you might want to try an ego C setup. I started on those when I started vaping, never went for the ones as small as you have. I started on the Ego T setup and moved to the C setup when it became available, easier to keep the atomizers clean and less loss if one died as they were separate from the tank body itself.

I vaped on those very happily for at least a year before I started moving to big battery devices and tanks.

Don't lose heart, vaping is most often a search for the right stuff early on and gets easier as time moves along. The important thing is when you are vaping you are not inhaling toxins from tobacco cigarettes, and that's much better for your long term prospects ;)

Hang in there Germy

901 refers to the threading on the device. That particular threading is not very popluar, hence you'd have a hard time finding a vendor that sells anything with the threading.

If you HAVE to have a cig look alike device, I'd suggest the Volt. It has a better battery, and you can buy a manual battery. A manual battery is better than an automatic, because it'll give you much longer life between charges. The Volt has 808 threading, which is better than 901, meaning you can find more vendors that sell stuff that will fit it.

If you don't have to have a cig look alike, and can handle something about the size of a sharpe, I'd suggest you get the KGO instead. It has 510 threading, which is the most popluar threading, and most, if not all vendors sell stuff with 510 threading. The KGO also has a much longer battery life between charges, and there are ALOT more choices for a delivery system for the KGO. The larger battery will also help with more vapor and bigger res for juices.

Hello fellow Ohioan! I'm just north of Cincinnati. Welcome to ECF.

Like Kay says, if you don't care whether it's a cig sized device, I'd step up to a Kgo, or something similar. You will get better battery life probably a better hit.

For cig sized, Volt is the most often recommended on here. I've never tried them, but if I was going to get a small device that's the one I'd buy.

When i first started i had the same issue with a few brands. they just didn't give me the satisfaction I wanted, but i knew the concept of it was definitely appealing. I soon found Volcano ecigs Magma (510 cig style) setup with tank and drip and manual batts.

The MAGMA Kit Electronic Cigarettes | ECig Atomizers

I used that for 6 months before I steped up to thier Ego style Inferno with a tank and drip too. The Inferno packed more voltage, held a longer charge for all day vaping and the tanks held enough to last you the day too.

The INFERNO Kit Electronic Cigarettes | ECig Atomizers

Plus their prices are almost unbeatable, the customer support is amazing and their community forum is just as sweet as this one... just a bit more specialized in Volcano stuff. Good luck out there and always do your research.

Hi and welcome to ECF. Threading of 808 and 901 are the same BUT...
901 atomizers have a hole in their side to let in the air so they usually work fine on KR808D-1 w/o an adapter, however, 901 cartomizers may need an adapter to work on KR808D-1 (to allow enough air flow).
The Volt (808) is the best cig sized PV available but unless you get the XL battery life is not great. Next we have the Kgo- true 3.7 volts and highly regarded- about $40 for a starter kit. Finally there's the variable volt Twist- starter kit about $70 but if you buy parts separately about $60.
It is nice as a starter I guess, but it produces little vapor. I'm on day two and I basically have to keep it in my mouth just to get enough. It's not quenching my nicotine thirst.
If you're having this issue with the dse901 buying a new PV will prolly not solve the problem. I believe the issue is in either your juice and/ or delivery system.
How much and what brand analogs did you smoke? What mg/ nic strength and PG/ VG ratio is your juice?

In the "eGo" class of personal vaporizers (PV"s) there are definite better options than the eGo. A better beginner option is the Kgo or E-Power. The eGo has a smaller batter from a voltage standpoint than you currently have. If you want to stay with the 901 threading, there is also the Riva 901 which is also better than the eGo. All of these are true 3.7 volt battery models unlike the small 3.4 volt battery of the eGo. If you switch to the Kgo or E-Power 510, you will have many more atty/carto options than if you stay with the 901. Here are some well supported suppliers:

Note: it appears that Liberty Flights no longer carries the Riva 901, so scratch that idea.

i have tried a few things and i really like Volcano"s inferno its worked out great for me, i charge the smaller battery about once every 2 days. and i use a clearomizer setup. it works out quite nice, and easy to take care of.

the other thing i like about volcano is having the forums there to talk to other volcano users and their staff.
