hi, im getting back into vaping and am looking for an all-purpose tank. would like it to be fairly modern (no leak) and supports both low and sub ohm premade coils. i like the option of both mtl and dtl vaping, by just swapping out the coil. after searching, i cant seem to find any with good reviews.

also, a small, single battery mod with just wattage control would be nice too.

thanks in advance, bye.

hi, just looked at the crown 3 and seems all its coils are sub ohm?
I believe there are mtl coils too unless that has changed. I could be wrong of course. I don’t actually own one. I’ve seen it widely recommended for this use though. It’s possible the higher ohm coils are effectively mtl even though they are technically below one ohm. I’m not sure.
The crown 1 is considered the preferred tank but is harder to get. The guardian tank is supposed to both sub ohm and mtl as well. It’s generally referred to as a mtl tank though so I don’t know how well it actually does it.

ok ill look at the guardian too. basically want a mtl setup that is true low ohm (as not to tear through juice bottles), with the option of sub ohm by just swapping out premade coils. maybe im asking for too much, and just need two devices. i dunno. but will keep searching.

thanks man

Um, the Crown Uwell ORIGINAL is what you want. It has a 1.2 coil. The Crown 3 is ONLY a sub0hm tank. With that said although the airflow is adjustable, the setup is really designed for more sub0hm vaping than other tanks. You could certainly do stuff like switch out the driptip when using the Crown 1. Also, I don't own one, but reviews have been consistently positive.

If you want something PRIMARILY MTL as far as airflow, driptip etc., you do have some options. There is the Joytech CLR coil, and it comes in 1.0 resistance and I believe 0.5 resistance (but I think that one is a temperature control only, and honestly I think I've been corrected on this before, but I believe it to be the case. It's not stainless steel either I don't think so you MUST vape it in TC mode. Etc. Coils get great life and are easy to rewick, etc. They can even be rebuilt if you are interested in that. There are just a TON of tanks for that coil, including the ego one Mega V2, the Oddessy and the Tron S tank.

There is (somewhere in this thread) a list of all the tanks that take the coil and it's pretty lengthy. IDK where it is in the thread, but if you ask, I'm sure you'll get answers.

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

The Zenith is a MTL tank that also has a 0.8 coil. I'm not sure I'd call that sub0hming although I guess technically it is. Similarly, the Nautilus 2 tank is MTL but has a 0.7 coil it's a bit less restricted. Although frankly, I've vaped both coils and I wouldn't call them "sub0hm" exactly by any stretch of my imagination, but I'm not sure How Low you Want to Go and etc.

Good luck,

Anna

Hehe. Anna is the mistress of mtl cartridges. I should have just named her for this one and avoided the error. She knows her stuff.

i like the option of both mtl and dtl vaping, by just swapping out the coil.

MTL and DTL vaping aren't determined by the coils you use. Whether you subohm vape or above ohm vape is determined by the coils you use.

MTL and DTL refer only to how you inhale when vaping. There are people who MTL vape and use above ohm coils in their tanks or RBAs. There are also people who MTL vape and use subohm coils in those. Same thing with those who DTL vape...though most of them (it seems) usually use subohm coils, I do personally know of 2 who vape DTL with 1.2ohm coils.

I would get at least two tanks, if not two set ups. Back ups, ya know?

I mtl and dl, but I have zero interest in tanks that do both. That to me means they do neither well. Either it’ll be too airy for mtl, or too restricted for a good dl.

And yes, it’s about how you inhale, but for me, how I inhale is a Direct result of how the airflow is set up in the tank, and I prefer the extreme, either pretty darn tight, or wide open.
