I've been away from dual coils for awhile, mostly because I've lacked the power to push them. Now running a hexohm V2 so plenty of power.
I'm looking for a good build that will let me push around 80 watts. My current build is 6 wraps 26ga roughly 3mm diameter. This measures to around .35 ohm. It vapes great until around 60 or so watts then its dry and burning even on the first pull, fully saturated. It's not about the watts race, I just want that super warm tasty vapor.
I believe it could be my build, a hot leg specifically. All the build I've seen done on the Mutation v4 have the one leg connected to the positive post that is farthest from the negative post. Basically, instead of using the positive post that is nearest to the negative, you are skipping that one for the next one which is causing one leg to be longer than the other. I'm assuming this is center the coil best.
I wonder if I should use a thicker diameter coil or just work on tucking the legs into the juice well. Any tips would be appreciated. When priming the coil the legs do get a little red nearest the coil but they do not stand out like a true hot spot would look like.
Thanks!
