Need to decide on an ecig and a website to order from

Hey everyone,

a while back, I posted a "help me decide" themed entry, on which I recieved lots of suggestions.

I ordered a blucig pack in the end, based on reviews and what not. However, seeing they take 1-2 years to ship them, I decided to cancel.

I would very much appreciate suggestions for an ecig starter kit which performs as follows:

Good vapor
Marlboro light-type taste and strength
at least two batteries
a charger
5 or more prefilled carts
$30 - $60

I understand some of you like 'dripping' so info on that would be helpful as well...

Also, I would very much appreciate a good website or company to order from. I got lots of suggestions last time that included model numbers and in no way to track down said model numbers.

I second Fluffapuff's suggestion. Cignots $35 deal is about the best price available. I don't think there is an e-liquid that tastes much like Marlboro lights, though there is a "Marlbro" flavored liquid available. I've heard that it isn't much like the real thing, and that the Winston flavor is generally better liked. Be sure, though, to pick up at least 30 mills of liquid with your order, no matter what flavor you choose.

I was in the same place you are in now a few weeks ago. If I had to do it all over again I would do this. I would get one of the great modified ecigs from one of the distributors here on the forum...get a Bartelby, a Chuck, or one that catches your fancy. Forget about buying anything that looks like a real cigarette or one of the traditional e-cigs. The batteries give out after just a couple of hours and they can be a pain. The mods use batteries that last anywhere from a day to two or three days depending on use. OH, I almost forgot...you should get a USB passthrough to use when you're at your computer. You can also get a USB plug in for your car's cigarette lighter at walgreens for about $8. It lets you use your passthrough in the car which can be a real life saver.

You can order e-juice that tastes like a Marlboro light from any of the distributors listed on the forum. Shop around for the best price and read up on making your own e-juice, it’s much cheaper to make it yourself and far more rewarding as you can control the flavor and the nic content. Making my own juice keeps my costs down to about 25 to 30 cents a day to vape. (Beats whatever the price of a pack of analogs is in the place you live)

Forget about carts. Carts tend to last only about a half hour before they are shot and you have to refill them. You can cut up a tea bag and put it in the cover of your atty and it will be a cart. (search tea bag on the forum and you'll see directions) You don't have to waist money on carts. For 3 cents you can make a cart from your atty cover and it will work better than any cart you buy. I only use a tea bag in an atty cover to keep e-juice from coming out of the hole in the mouth piece.

I prefer to drip, its easy, cheep, and gives you a great vape. I buy my non-flavored e-juice from a distributor in china. I get 500ml for about $60 and mix my own flavors. It’s much cheaper than buying pre-made e-juice. And remember to buy the highest nic content you can get and mix it down. I buy 36mg nic juice and mix it down to 24mg and 18mg. The reason for this is that 36mg nic juice costs as much as 18mg nic juice. So if you want to make 18mg nic juice, you can get twice as much for the same amount of money. You can get a galon of plain PG for about $28 at your local feed store or tractor supply shop to cut your 36mg nic juice.

As I said, I’ve only been doing this for a few weeks...but if you read his forum, you will get all the information you need. This forum is a wealth of information and the people here are always willing to answer any question you have.

the low nic is about 18mg. The very high is 24mg, and the extra high is 36mg. A light cigarette is only light because there are extra holes in the filter that let more air in. The nic content is about the same as a regular cigarette. I would suggest getting the very high nic to start with. Vaping is differnet from smoking. Cigaretts give you more nic than vaping so its like compairing apples and oranges. The flavor you buy will determine what you like more than the nic content.

BTW, if you want a tradional e-cig, I agree with the others who suggested the Joye 510 starter kit from Cignot.com. For $35, you can't beat it. I have one and I really like it. Plus, they are great people to do business with. If you can swing it, order extra attys and batteries from them too..you'll need them.

i couldnt be bothered to deal with a 3 piece, i just went with a KR808D-1, i like to just screw the cartomizer on the battery and vape !!

Just two, maybe three drops is all it takes. I'm really enjoying my Pyramid tea bag mod now so I still use carts. But I can see a time in the future when I just drip.

You made a good choice. Its a good product. BTW, that 15ml bottle will last between 1 week and 2 weeks depending on your vaping habits. People tend to vape a lot when they first start, so if you like the flavor, order more first chance you get.

Yeah thats what I ordered with 15ML of some 'juice' ...

I really hope they have good shipping.. the bluCigs thing looks great and I ordered that but then they told it me it would ship sometime after the return of Christ...

I am a fairly light smoker, and am used to light cigs ... we shall see what happens

You will never find a flavor that is even close to a Marlboro light. That is what I used to smoke and I wanted to find the same thing as you. I never did find it, but I found that just about any of the tobacco flavored juices are just as good, if not better than a Marlboro light. It will take you a day to get used to the new flavor, but you will probably love it.

I also have to agree with CNubel. If had could do it over again, I would buy a mod. I have both a 510 and a 4081. They both work pretty good, but the battery life just sucks. I vape a lot and I can never get the batteries to last more than an hour. I carry five 510 batteries and two 4081 batteries with me just to make it through the day. There have even been a few days where all six dint get me through the day. The Chuck, claims to last several days before it needs to be recharged. I think I am going to et me one of those soon!!
