Ok I know the subject line sounds a little odd lol. but here is the deal.
I know maybe I should just leave him alone with the smoking. I remember how I hated people that had quit smoking and gave me the lecture about quitting but ...

Originally the two of us tried chantex some three years ago, it just seemed crazy to be spending 600 to 700 bucks a month on analog for the two of us. So I quit and he didnt. Now I have to say its harder with him since I could stay home and stay away from smokers and he is out an about in the plants and the shop. Which I think is another problem trying to get him to go ecigs. OMG the man has got to have the hugest MACHO affliction there is.. he is half mechanic half construction worker and while he hasnt said much I dont think he looks at the ecig thing as a very macho thing to do.

But I have to say the last couple of years his cough is getting rediculus! Not to mention the fact that his dad died of emphaziema. And neither of us is getting any younger. So I have been trying to lure him into trying vape... maybe just to do it at home and he can smoke while out at work and while he is fishing (crazy bass fisherman) anyway problem is I always smoked menthol and now I vape menthol and assorted flavors he has always been a Winston 100 guy and he never detours. So the one disposable that I got from a vendor he said tasted like crap and he never touched again.

So I am thinking I am going to add a riva 510 to my stash so I could try to entice him to try one of those at least for home use. (I have ego tank battery with 510 atomizer so riva would be spares) But still working out a way to get him to try vaping.. and thinking maybe someone has suggestion on something close to Winston to vape or any other suggestions on how to get a reluctant dude to put down at least some of those analogs!

I know it might not do any good since hes not real open to the idea. Only positive so far is that he isnt fighting me about my vaping so .. idk just grabbing at straws I guess

So dealing with the Macho thing .. Winston smoker
any help or suggestios appreciated. I kinda like the guy and would like to keep him around awhile!

I wish I could help..

My husband and I both tried to quit smoking ages ago. He did quit and I didn't. He never said a word about my smoking (I guess he wanted to have sex again before he died ). Thinking back it must have been really hard for him. I wish I could have quit.

Maybe he just needs some time and when he sees how great you're doing, he might want to try it. Does he reject the whole idea? Does he give you any reasons why?

You've got a tricky situation, there. I think Winston is a pretty strong "feeling" not necessarily tasting cigarette. He may need to try something, both in the PV and the liquid, that provides a good throat hit. At a minumum, I would get a low resistence atomizer for your eGo which will provide warmer vaper. I would also get at least 24mg strength liquid to provide better throat hit. I really don't know what would be close to a Winston. I use to smoke Marlboro and find Liberty Flights, PG version, 24mg, "Home Counties" the closes to that flavor and it is a very smooth tobacco-like flavor.

Anyway, good luck.

Show him "manly" PV's, for instance the hex, or the Provari if he's the gotta have bigger and better type, and liquids you could show him Tobacco flavors, beer, whiskey, coffee, you know...manly flavors.

Heck he could even check out the modders forum and build his own if he's into that.

I don't want some girly e-cig either. Nobody is gonna mess with me and my Provari...I could take a drag and then club them with it. :p

Perhaps a couple of different tobacco flavors, 24 mg strength. I'd go for a pack of Boge LR cartos, fill them for him to make it as painless as possible to try things. I smoked Camel straights 25 years, Marlboro reds for 10. Early on I liked a really firm, ashy, tobacco flavor -- tended towards vapor4life's Dunhall and Kamel flavors, came up with my own DIY tob4; I believe V4L may have a Winston knockoff, though no clue if it's close to them (I rarely smoked Winston). As time passed I went for a bit smoother, things like BWB's Marlboro variant and my own tob5 (a tobacco with some hazelnut undertone).

lmbo.. I hear ya. I dont nag him about his smoking, but I do worry with his coughing and last couple of years seems he has sinus issues he didnt have. Think he is taking over the chronic bronchitis that I got rid of. If it wasnt so unhealthy I would just let him smoke .. have to say sometimes the smoke is too much and I have the urge to nibble his mustache lol .. But I do understand.. nagging doesnt help. Oh and glad to hear u have such a good guy in your life. He sounds like a very smart man ;)

Well he tried that disposable one and that was gross.. after that I think maybe he might try a bit but since I go with the girly flavors and menthol he wont even try my stuff. So got to thinking if I could get something that tasted right to him he might. And too the learning curve I think turned him off. Since I had trouble with the tanks leaking and messing up atomizers.. he wouldnt mess with any of that now I have things some what figured out and always have ya'll to ask when I get confused I figured if I find something that doesnt taste like crap to him maybe it would help. But I have no clue on winston type smoke or vapes cause to a menthol smoker, winston is just too nasty for words! lol

The most masculine and macho mods that come to mind are the Rough Stack The Buzz and the Helix. Flavor is the hard part, he will want a cigarette taste which is hard to get in juice. The best tobacco flavors I have found are Backo, Hunter's Blend, and Adirondack from Backwoods Brew. He may be accepting of a flavored tobacco, they taste like tobacco but what is missing is covered by a flavoring like cherry or apple or even banana, banana tobacco is quite tasty.

Does he have a sweet tooth? If he does than you need to get a juice that tastes like his favorite candy. Get him to try it and he might think twice about vaping. You can't make up his mind for him but there are ways to influence his decision.

My wife refers to my PV as my crack pipe. The only flavor she's considered trying is peach. But I'm not going to force her because there is nothing that would turn her off vaping faster that telling her to do it.

That sounds like a good idea the tasting stuff thing - but he needs a MANLY Mod :D Of course my hubby lost a battery on Sunday and used my HELLO KITTY mod all day, so what the heck do I know.

I think if he could get into it long enough to discover he could make his own, w/ HIS background.... OH OH OH - I knowwwww - buy a kit from MadVapes, and tell him you really want this but can't figure it out, and get him to help you build a simple box mod.
