personally, I'd stick with MNKE or VTC3/4 for sub ohm vaping. 20 amp discarge (VTC4 has 30 amp) means you wont be taxing the battery at 0.8 ohms if I remember correctly. I've been wrong in the past tho, so soemone to confirm woul be awesome

completely agree with you, im ordering a nemesis with sony VTC4's, there the best 30amp batteries on the market

is it ok to run efest IMR 18650 V2 2000mAh 3.7V LiMn batteries in a Nemesis if i only plan on going to 0.8 ohms or would you suggest getting new batteries such as mnke or sony vtc4's?
You can go down to a 0.5 ohm coil with the Efest 18650 IMR 2000mAh 10 amp battery, but I would suggest not to go below 0.8 to give a wide margin for error.

Learn to use the Ohm's Law Calculator. You need to know your battery's amp limit in continuous discharge rate. This is listed here, book mark it.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected?

Measure your coil's resistance and type it in the appropriate place. 4.2 is always used as the voltage. Press calculate. The amps drawn from the battery by that coil will be displayed as the current. This should never be higher than the battery's continuous discharge rate in amps.

Well glad i was right bout the amp limit I have studied alot too. Baditude whats your take on them Barney batteries?

I guessing you're talking about the new purple Efest batteries? I'm reserving judgement on them until I see some independent bench testing. I'm not a big believer in Efest advertised battery specifications and that is why I have not listed them yet in my recommended battery list in my blog.

question now is...mnke's or vtc4's?

I ran a couple of MNKEs typically at around 0.6 ohms for about a year and a half. Just retired them. I bought a couple of VTC3s about 5 months after getting the MNKEs and they performed about the same as the MNKEs when they were new. They are still going strong, but they have way fewer charge cycles on them than the MNKEs did. I have a couple of VTC4s that I bought in December.

All of these are great batteries for high output use, not that I use them at anywhere neat to full amp draw. I don't know which will last longer for me because the Panasonics are still too new. IMO, the VTC4s will probably end up performing best for the longest because they are the newest design with all the latest improvements built in.

That's my :2c:. Good luck whichever way you end up going.

VTC4s. Why?

MNKE has 1500 mah
VTC4 has 2100 (or is it 2200?)

MNKE has a 20 amp continuous with a 60amp pulse
VTC4 has 30 amp continuous

Both usually cost around the same

Both are flat top batteries

One is green, the other is orange? XD

VTC4 (or even VTC3) have my vote cuz I personally like sony, but also because its not only a higher mah, but hasa higher amp discharge, which equals to a safer battery.

my 2 cents anyways
