Here's the best way to sum it up: hcigar has QA people, and your chance of getting a well made product from them is very good.

There's a lot of threads on different forums about bad FT Nemmy tubes or bad 510 threading. There's threads about some problems with the Hcigar Nemmy but not nearly as many. You've got a better chance of getting a good product from Hcigar then you do from FT. This is why people always ask for reviews about FT products before buying. Sometimes they get a good shipment of a product from the factory, and sometimes they don't. The early Chi you and Private V2 clones are a good example of this happening.

my FT neme clone(SS) is perfect as far as I can tell. Fit and finish is top notch. The only thing I had to do was polish up the switch internals and press fit the spring into the switch properly, as well as a general cleaning.

Hcigar is NOT a manufacturer - They are a reseller
HCigar Box is Not an indication of Production. It is a Retail packaging.

I buy Kanger direct in coops - Often, Oem white box - you purchase Retail packaged = Same at higher pricing.

Why would FT ever purchase 10,000 units at a time from a middle man? Why would anyone pay added expense for High qty. product when they can contract the SAME manufacturer at The SAME Purchase Price?

Really people think about this.

Assume a reasonable # of Machine services available.
Realize the thousands of Products Machined and Shipped Daily.

Even VaporBreaks Nemesis clone is nothing more than a Bottom Cap graphic change. Likely a commitment to 300-500 units to attain.

So you are telling me there is only one manufacturer or reseller of clones in China? And all they do is change packaging...ok. I know the Sigelei #8W that FT sells is not the same as the ones others sell. If you are happy with what you have that's good. I'm happy with what I purchase and use that's what matters. I just get tired of all the blind love for FT.

Has anyone done an in person side by side comparison of an hcigar boxed clone vs a FT clone? I would be willing to bet a person could not tell a difference between the two.

there is no difference. Hcigar is selling the same thing as FT. there's a polished version sold by, I'm not sure; maybe Tobeco, that the inside threads are larger and its polished. the Hcigar and FT are the same to me. have you noticed that peeps that sell stuff as being Hcigar price it a lil higher than FT? they're not gonna admit that its the same stuff or else everyone would pay less and get it from FT. Leo or Judy would lose a bit of busyness...

There are a few manufacturers, and many resellers which get their product from those few manufacturers. There is no Hcigar factory; there is no EHPro factory; there is no FT factory. Hcig and EH are wholesalers, and FT is a retailer.

When you see someone wearing a Land's End polo shirt, do you figure that it was made in a Land's End factory? Or was it made in a garment factory that also makes shirts for a dozen other brand names?

Alibaba does not sell anything except advertising space to wholesalers. You cannot buy a mod or anything else from Alibaba. You buy from the reps who are advertising there.

This is true.

Hcigar may have an additional step of QC during packaging. But most likely, they simply are ordering them in a private label package, but they are all coming from the same manufacturing plants.

Heck, the company I work for does this for many retailers. We package up a product, the same exact product, into many different private label 'brands'. Same exact product, sold for different prices depending on the retailer. The only thing different is the packaging.


I find it humorous to think that some believe that each 'label' of this clone is being pumped out from different manufacturing plants in China. lol.

I just bought the Brass Nemesis Clone from FastTech for $23.00
Ordered on Nov 3rd and delivered on November 14th to Ontario California.

Based on initial impression and not on long term durability, this was the deal of the century.

Fit and finish were all fine screws threading perfectly. It has a screw in Pin on the top and no screwdriver necessary, adjusts from under. Which I like. and the bottom connector- Spring screws out and is very accessible. Unfortunately I'm waiting for a Voltage Meter from Germany. Everyone is sold out in the U.S although I found a Tankometer, but the Tankometer won't hold up under .6 Ohm and I've gone through two of them. So my apologies that I can only give my impression and not a true V-Drop for the unit.

My feeling, on the Brass Version from experience, is that the V-Drop is not very much . It's hitting hard, For sure it has less then a .4 VDrop and I suspect better, much better then my K-100 but my K-100 may have dirty connectors so I'm not comparing Apples to Apples. The nice feature of this mod is that all the connectors are easily accessible for cleaning.

The pin at the top is a screw in Pin and you can do it by hand. I like that. It was tricky to get it to work with the 18650 turns out that there is a teeny ring which would be for using with 2 18350, so until I figure out that I had to remove the teeny ring, it was too loose. And I spent 10 minutes scratching my head like an monkey and playing with the parts like a child with a Lego Set, before I noticed that very slim removable ring.

Threads all screw nicely and it hits like a freight train [Subjective]. Very elegant. I feel a little guilty because it's gone beyond what a clone should be and has Logos and numbers etc. I'm the kind of guy who would buy a product that looks like another one, but this one kind of crosses the line.

I have tried both the Hcigar and the FastTech versions and they both worked great for me. I would love to pick up an authentic Nemesis one of these days.

I bought the Nemesis Clone Brass Version from Fastech
and my results were good, not stellar but very good. I set a multimeter at 9v and
connected to positive and negative posts of a Reomizer 2 at .43 Ohms

On a high performance battery you'll get around 3.83V under load and on a
battery with less performance but good stamina like the Panasonic Hybrid 2900
you'll get around 3.65V under Load.

I'm very happy with the fit, finish, threads, etc of the one I received from Fasttech. Never used an original so
I can't compare.
