Hey all. I just got the nemesis I ordered off of eBay, because I'm impatient waiting on my maraxus and want new toys and I'm wondering if it is a legit hcigar clone. Here's some pictures and the link of the of the item on eBay. Please any advice? My second mech mod ever and I'm curious!

Are there any real identifying factors other than just peoples word?

Looks identical to mine, and I know for a fact mine is an hcigar. But being a clone it's not going to have any markings that identify it as a true Hcigar.

The best way to tell is to make sure it's good and cleaned, clean the threads, and then put it together. Hcigar does a great job on their threading so it should be nice and smooth when you screw pieces together. No binding, sticking, or crunchy feeling.

I got the same one...from E-bay ....people are chewing out sellers cause it doesn't say HCigar like Vaperoyalty ones...but they charge bit more...

I used it with HCigar Kayfun 3.1, Russian 91%, and Trident v2 clone, no issues..no miss fires..just make sure you put in some magnets in the firing pin...
I've seen "HCigar" Nems with white boxes..so who knows..

My "official" Magneto v2 already took a dump and I think my internal spring is broken...have to take apart to see..while my Nemmy is still firing away

Machines don't get calibrated as often as they should, Could be machine error. Possibly human error for not calibrating the system on schedule. Doesn't make a difference to me if it performs like it should.

Admittedly I spent probably 3 hours cleaning up the threads and then assembling it, taking it back apart, adjusting the pins for the topper and battery, and reassembling it to get the fit just right. Took me a couple of tries before I realized I needed to set the top pin for the topper rather than the battery before I assembled anything else. Now it fits together almost seamlessly and the button action is butter smooth.

they are all clones. but some are better quality than others. i have both an Hcigar and a fasttech nemesis. the Hcigar has buttery threads, the tubes thread together so well that they look like 1 seamless piece, and the fire button is not crunchy. the fasttech has horrible threads, the polished beauty ring only fits at the top not the middle, and the firing button has to be pressed directly in the center or else it won't fire.

Well duh Lol,with a adjustable firing pin you want it to sit flush on the mod then set the 510pin tight, then when you throw the battery in and tighten the switch it snugs it to the 510 pin. E-Z pea-z

yea I *had* a HCigar nemesis and it was fantastic. I saved the silver plated contacts for my new nemesis (cant remember if its hcigar or not)

But I can definitely tell its a clone vs say the real thing. and I Can tell a hcigar clone from a cheap clone simply because Higar uses good silver contacts (7 months of use and those contacts still look like new), their machine work is excellent, so the threads are smooth as butter, etc.

shame mine went kaput because a bad protank head =T hard shorts suck

I was thinking the same thing. "A legit clone"?
I am against clones. But to each his own

Honestly, if Atomixani wasnt charging 200$ for a machined metal tube I'd buy the real deal too. I'mstill kicking myself for buying a machined tube for 40$. Now the V3Tronics flip.... Thats worth the 200$ or so they charge cuz theres ALOT of detail and work going into that sucker...

The one thing that does look slightly out of place is the red dot marking below the logo. It's centered on mine.
lmao, um my red dot marking is actually green, sometime purple, depending on what battery I have in it. It's the vent hole incase of battery venting. Usually on the Hcigar nemi clone it's more off center than in the pic shown.

Am I the only one who thinks that it is kind of funny to ask: "Is my clone a real clone?"

Not all clones are equal.

Hcigar Nemesis clones are true 1:1 clones. You can take a real Atmomixani Nemesis and an Hcigar clone and swap parts. Hcigar pays a lot of attention to machining quality and detail to get the closest thing to the real thing you can ask for.

Other clones may be noticeably inferior. Many are what is called a 1:10 clone, which is close as far as appearance, but none of the parts match the real thing. Some aren't even that accurate, and in the fine print you'll find descriptions like "Nemesis style clone". With the huge popularity of the Nemesis, there are a LOT of poor quality clones out there.
