Nemesis: The Sun's Evil Twin

Nonsense. If Nemesis actually existed, it's gravitational field alone would have given it away by now. It's just like Nibiru... I love the ideas, but sadly real science must prevail.

One would think, as a significant mass would severely warp the outer Solar System even if it were a light year out. And if it were that far out, the orbit would be unstable and perturbed by every star that's passed over the last four billion years. Which is a lot of them, some quite closely even in relatively recent history (astronomically speaking).

If not a significant enough mass, it'd be even more warpable by exterior forces--look at poor Pluto, kicked around and abused by Neptune.

If a significant enough mass to resist even star mass interference, we'd see it...because it would be a small star itself.

They have been looking for large objects beyond the kuiper belt for decades now and even with the most advanced infrared imaging there has been no evidence of anything larger than Pluto out there. As others have said we would see evidence of it's gravitational pull on the orbits of distant objects.
