People need to understand the reason he vetoed that bill...it had nothing to do with backing up anyone. Quote:

While I support restricting access of electronic cigarettes to children under the age of 18, I cannot sign a measure that also declares them a federally regulated drug when the matter is currently being decided through pending litigation.

It's more that he recognizes that the FDA cant make something illegal.

He vetoed the bill on account of the pending litigation in front of Judge Leon. It was never a question about them being legal or illegal. The FDA wants to regulate them as a drug delivery device. Fortunatelly Judge Leon so far has disagreed with the FDA.

Whenever government consciously decides to do something, or not do something, you may be assured of one thing: somebody's lips are around somebody else's penis. The only challenge is to decipher whose lips are around whose penis.

And no matter how the above arrangement works out, its the citizens and taxpayers who ultimately get screwed.
