I have an atty that seems to work fine, but tastes burnt. I tried dripping several times to make sure the coil was wet and even tried the whole soaking/boiling in pepsi, cleaning with alcohol thing and it still tastes nasty. Its a dse901 and I normally get a really good flavor with it. Is it about to go doa on me or what?

Thanks

Do you have another atty to try out?
I've had this happen a few times. The first few times I tried salvaging them (cleaning, more cleaning, dripping only..etc)
The only thing I can think of is, the wicking material under the bridge also runs down to the coil. I think it's possible that, when an atty is run to dry for to long, the wick burns & possibly frays, causing that atty to ALWAYS taste burnt. Had it happen with both 901's & 510's.
Anymore if it happens, I try dripping only with it for a day to see if it clears up. If not, I toss'em in the trash. Ain't worth wasting otherwise good tasting juice.
