new 510 atty with funny taste

ok guys just got a new addy. vapor production is awsome only draw back is this funny taste. best way to describe it is that it taste just like the smell when you hit the button with no cart on a few times to burn off the atty. it is a lil chuck 3.7 volt with 510 atty. this is a new atty and my last one. old one is fine but has kinda low vapor production but doesn't give this taste. the new one has vapor for days i mean just as much as a analog but has this taste

i have dripped on the addy and it helps but still there.

1. how do i make it go away?
2. with the taste am i getting anything harmful or just taste?

hopefully that it is just a new atty breaking in. when i took it out of the box i dripped 2 drops on the atty and puff it several times before i inhaled the first time.

i have one cart with the PTB mod and the other with just the regular poly. both have the taste. if i change attys the taste is gone. but i want to use the new one....... argh

Ive used aobut 10 atomizers so far and have experienced that a few times. My understanding is it has something to do w/ the primer in the atomizer from the factory. In my experience it goes away eventually, but not nearly as fast as I ever wanted. As far as dangerous, I doubt it, prolly just a matter of too much or little, or perhaps age. I doubt the factory would be putting any dangerous fluids into their atomizers in any amount.

I usually dry burn the primer off. Either that or soak it in vodka for an hour. That usually kills the primer taste.
