New 510 Connector - What it does and how to adjust it - Video Tutorial

hi! Genuinely curious: for those with the new 510, anyone find that the grub screw slowly works it's way down by itself, such that you needa tighten the atty once in a while or readjust the adjustable grub?

Mine hasn't moved I think you would need to drop your mod or be fiddling with it

What I have noticed is if I bang my mod either pretty hard or several medium hard times on the table / counter it will loosen slightly.

Its happened twice to me.

And please dear tell me, why in the world would you do that?

Hmm I must be an idiot then. I had it in my front pocket the whole of last night when I was at a concert. No biggie.

I think I'll tape the wrench inside my mod >

I think you might want back out the 510 center pin a smidge more and tighten the RBA slightly more against the center pin to hold it. I highlighted a few words to keep people from cranking it down too much.

Oh they will use wrenches they always have and always will . Usually its vice grips that type of guy doesn't own a pipe wrench

I think it's cool when Russ bangs the Reo Grand on a table. Shows how tough and durable it is. However, there should be a message on the screen to say:

"Warning: Don't attempt this mad behavior with any other device! We can fix the Table, but you can't fix broken electronic boards."

Yes, remember they are reverse threaded now.

Here's how I adjust mine so I only need to use the tool in the beginning :

Using the tool, turn the adjuster so it's all the way seated- just seated don't force it. Then screw on your atty - if the holes aren't where you want them, take it off and use the tool to loosen the adjuster about 1/2 turn. Now screw on your atty. Then loosen the atty a little then tighten atty and repeat until the holes are exactly where you want them. Once they are, tighten the atty down real good.
