Hi Im new to vaping and do not as of yet own anything, one of my friends has recommended getting a
variable volt APV which I like the idea of. I have had a small ecig before but they dont provide me the
same experience as an apv does. I however do not know what all i will need to purchase with one,
I do see one which looks promising its a acrylimax acrylic variable volt APV. I just dont know what all
I need to buy with it, I have found one at mudvapes. Can anyone please provide some feedback on
what I need to buy?

Thanks

Hi - If you don't have any gear at all, you'll want to start with a kit. It will have batteries, chargers & a delivery system. The acrylimax acrylic variable volt you mentioned is just a battery. $80.00 for a battery with no other equipment is rather steep if you're just starting out.:2c:

Welcome to ECF.

If you want to get started with VV then I recommend the eGo Twist or Vision Spinner. They are an inexpensive mod and recommended by a lot of people here on the forums.

+1

If I had to do it over again and/or when my current eGo's meet their end, I'll definitely be purchasing eGo Twist 650mah to replace them. The eGo is perfect for me for work and goin' out, add a good Clearomizer and you shouldn't have any issues...

Good luck :)

Scristopher - what about the acrylimax appeals to you? It is a fairly large mod but maybe that is what you like about it. It will hold a large battery and be able to perform at levels a twist or spinner never could. I think there are less expensive options to achieve that though. Like a vamo.

The one at madvapes is just the mod. You would need some batteries, at least 2 so you could use one while the other charges. You will need a charger. Then you will need to chose a juice delivery system. Clearo, carto, tank.... And then juice.

Let us know why you like the acrylimax and we may be able to give you more cost effective options or even alternatives for something that may fit you better.

I do like the fact that it is larger and can hold a large battery. The variable voltage is a plus which is another reason I was considering it, Id like to be able to change voltages.

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

The Vamo can give VV plus VW (which is very handy, as well) and at a reasonable price. If you only want VV, the Twist or Spinner are reasonably priced and you don't have to buy extra batteries. They always make a Great back up device (always have back ups, of everything) regardless of what else you own.

The Vision Nova, Mini Nova, or Kanger T2 are Great clearos to start with. Believe me, you will add other things later! Experimenting is half the Fun!

Relax, Enjoy!

There are certainly other options that will allow the larger battery. The spinner comes in 650, 900, and 1300mAh. however the 1300mAh is hard to find at the moment as mot places are selling out of them soon as they get them.

If you go with the AcyliMax from madvapes you also need batteries, charger to go with it.

The Vamo gets some decent reviews. Again you will need to buy batteries and charger separately. The Vamo is slightly less expensive than the AcryliMax.

Shop around and watch some of the reviews on youtube. You will be able to find reasonably priced mods.

Another +1 for the Vamo here. You can not only go VV or VW, but it will tell you your resistance of the atty, carto, tank, or whatever you have attached, the remaining volts left on your batt, etc. Lots of options on it and about the best buy for your money right now for a big batt mod. Shop around and see what you like. Have fun!!:D

Thanks alot guys i think im going to go with the vamo then, the only thing im not sure of is getting a atty carto tank or ?
:)

I have tried a lot of devices and the Vision (get the original) Vivi Nova and Mini Nova are the best that I have found (although not perfect) . They do not leak, are easily cleaned, the heads are easily replaced (or rebuilt with wick and wire, if you wish) and they last a reasonable length of time. I usually get at least a month of use from a head.

The Kanger T2 is also popular although not without some minor problems.

ETA: I agree with Baditude, AltSmoke is a Good vendor of what you are looking for, although I don't see the Vamo.
