New and needing more FLAVOR!

Hey all. I'm new to e cigs and the board. I had been introduced to an e cig at the tattoo expo in Ventura. I was really impressed, and, as a Respiratory Therapist, really excited to find something to help me off the smokes. Unfortunately, I'm not as impressed with the flavor as I was at the expo.

I tried a blackberry flavored and cherry flavored e cig there, and absolutely loved the tremendous fruit flavor smoking from my mouth! I was disheartened though, when I received my apple and cherry flavor from Puresmoker.com and the flavor was just ick.

Can someone please direct me to the right e liquid for my e cig? I want TONS of fruit flavor, not just a little hint of fruit.

Thanks all!!!!

Hey Camarillo ...

Sorry you were unhappy with our Apple and Cherry :(

The problem with heavy heavy fruit flavors in eliquid form is if you make it too strong, its tastes like medicine. Alot of fruit flavors are played down so you just taste that hint of flavor without making it extra extra powerful!

Hope you can find what you're looking for Camarillo! That perfect eliquid! Once you find it, its like hitting a gold mine!

I'm just wondering Camarillo, with you being a respiratory therapist, are you aware of any relevant research on the ingredients we inhale?

The main ingredients we use are propylene glycol and glycerine, there are plenty of other additives for flavour, scent, maybe pH balance and whatever (anyone's guess). If you're interested there is some information on ingredients on this thread - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ngredients-cartridges-e-liquid.html#post34085

There is also information on known research here - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-e-cig-related-legal-medical-information.html

If you have an interest in the health and safety side of esmoking, contributions will be most appreciated on the health board. We have plenty of questions and concerns but few reliable and scientific references regarding long term, heavy inhalation of vapour from nicotine liquid.

Sorry to talk shop if you're wanting to avoid work, if you're not interested you are most welcome elsewhere on the forum too of course ;)

Actually, believe it or not, I hadn't even HEARD of e cigs until I went to the expo and saw them there. There needs to be WAY more research done on these, and if found to be harmless (or at least significantly less harmful than real smokes....as I am sure they are), then they need to be marketed better.

As far as medical information, none has come my way except for what you can find on the internet. Most of the people I care for are either asthmatics or people who have smoked and have COPD etc.

I would be a willing participant in any trial and would love to paint this product advertisement all over my car, hand out pamphlets, become a distributor ETC ETC ETC!! I've been a smoker for 22 years and this is the first thing that has come along that not only helps you with the nicotine cravings, but also the oral fixation and actual physical HABITS (just holding on to a smoke, feeling something fill up your lungs, and the like). I'm actually EXTREMELY ...... off that this product is not being made more widely available. Of course, that would be a huge threat to cigarette makers.......and we just don't want THAT do we????

Anyway.....thanks for the help. I'll try out the candy oils. Any info from people who have smoked this? Lung pain, bad aftertaste, how many drops to use, how to use it etc.

TTYS.

Id try Crown7s cartridges! they have great flavors and they are really good!!! :)

Oh, and a P.S. to CashMere....I'm not extremely unhappy, just had a different vision of what the flavors would taste like. I'm probably just in need of a stronger flavor. I'm sure they are perfectly fine for everyone else.

Also, I love my little pink mini!! Thank you very much. I am a satisfied customer. :thumb:

Lol, I was vaping (correct term?? I'm new) in the car, waiting for my son to get out of school. This woman looked at me and started coughing. I had to giggle. Kind of loudly, I said to myself....."It's water vapor honey, it's not gonna make YOU cough."

Damn, I wish I had my whole car painted with an ad for e cigs. Then I can puff away and the ignorant will become enlightened!!!

Take Care!!!

I know what you mean about wanting smokers to benefit Camarillo, this really is a magic invention. The problem comes with the juice, we can't be sure what's in it, the long term health effects and if we're taking massive nicotine doses. It's difficult to justify increasing exposure on an unregulated product that doesn't get lab tested for tainted ingredients or purity.

It's probably safer than tobacco though, that's likely.

People here have reported coughing, chest tightness and someone even mentioned coughing blood once. Quitting or cutting down on smoking has had a big impact on some of us. Easier breathing, less breathlessness and more stamina are common.

Well, it would probably be too good to be true if there were NO side effects that came with e cigs, but unless they are comparable to the multitude of awful things I've seen cigarettes do to people, I think it's worth the risk.

I started smoking exclusively on the e cig this morning, and dropped my marlboros cold turkey. I'll let everyone know how it's going as I experience it. So far, only a small craving here and there, relieved almost instantly by a quick vape. A little chest tightening and some coughing. It is quite possible that this is just from quitting those nasty little buggers though. I've had same thing when trying to quit on the patch and gum.

So far so good though!! 8 1/2 hours without a smoke and I feel great!! I would be chewing my kids a new butthole by this time normally.....

Hey Camarillo, I feel exactly the same way! In fact I was going to ask the same question this evening......

Just got my 901b yesterday (Thanks to Steve) and charged up the batteries looking for a nice "smoke" with lots of vapor. Dripped a few drops from the juice that I ordered with the ecig and what I got was a bad after taste and not much flavor at all.

I remembered that I read a thread about the primer fluid that is put in the atomizers, so I rinsed them out with alcohol and the after taste is gone, but still no taste! (I know it's not Steve's fault......the ecig seems to be working fine)

If you find some juice that gives you a lot of flavor, please let me know!

Don't want to hassle with mixing flavors and PG or VG and nicotine trying to get the portions right. Easier just to buy it (If I can find it...) but I may have to resort to mixing if I have to.

It's most likely from dropping the cigs. I experienced the same thing when I quit smoking regular cigarettes cold turkey, 7 weeks before getting my first e-Cig. The first few days were rough but after that it got easy.

I only got an e-Cig because I really enjoyed smoking but I didn't want to go back to the danger and the smell. I'm very glad I got it.

Congrats on quitting real cigs, though...:thumb: I'm sure you'll do just fine and the e-Cig should be a big help!
