Just thought I would say Howdy since I just registered here, though have been reading the various forums for a few days and did peek at them sometime within the last year or so.
i got into vaping last year, though i never did end up kicking the analog habit. I am not sure why i did not get into vaping full time, but there were some problems, so i guess that may be the main reason.
I started out using NJoy, which I quickly fell in love with and thought it was wonderful. The batteries seemed to last a long time and I had no problems, I even was able to get a friend to give it a try after she saw me using it for a week or so..It was interesting the questions and comments I got when i took it on a fishing party boat that month from other smokers and even non-smokers alike, it drew quite a bit of attention and none of it bad. It was even fun when I took it over to another friend's house who has three smokers in it and they saw me blow out vapor when they came to the door and saw i didn't have a cigarette and asked how I did that.. I had a little fun and told them, "Oh, I never told you, I'm part dragon?" then of course I had to show them and told them about it too.
Well, after I got back home a couple weeks later, I started having problems, one of the batteries didn't work anymore, it would need to be charged after about 15 min and that got frustrating. So, I did some looking around and found a site with cheap batteries, attys and carts that would work with what I had. I was happy about that; however, i soon learned that even those batteries had problems, well, some of them did and some of them didn't...I also found a good place with juice that I liked using in the empty carts, so it kept me happy for a little while, but all the problems with defective batteries kind of put me off using my pv for too much longer.
A couple weeks ago, i took a trip out of state and on the way home bought a Duo-51, since I had not tried one of the models with the atty and cart a one piece. I had hoped that the batteries on this model would work better and I have not been displeased yet, as I have had no problem with either that came with the kit and have found them to not be defective. The problem I have had; however, lies in the carts. I bought an extra pack of carts when I bought the kit and they seem to be rather hard to vape on, take a lot of pressure to get anything out and most of the time seems i get mostly juice in my mouth for the effort, not to mention the menthol tastes like nothing at all. I thought it was strange that I'd have a problem with the pack of carts, because there were no problems with the 2 carts the kit came with, I was very happy with them.
So this week I decided to order some carts from V4L, figuring since they use the 2 piece model that they would work with the Duo-51 and unfortunately i was wrong, because they top of the carts are a little different and they do not screw onto the Duo-51 battery very well, though I have been able to get one or two of them to work with a little bit of tomjiggery. So, of course I was disappointed once again, because I found that the V4L carts had the flavor and vapor production I wanted and I want to give serious vaping a try and see if it will help me stop analogs, or at least cut my use of them way down, so i decided to order a VK kit today, since I have the carts and no perfect way to vape them.
Ah well, sorry this is so long, but just my way of introducing myself and telling my story!
