Possibly the best article from a reputable news media source on e-cig regulation that I've read yet! This calls out the FDA to stop shielding smokers and the public about the lives that ecigs could be saving. It is a very good read and I only hope that somewhere out there other media sources pick this one up to get the word out. It could be the best argument made in our favour that has been published to date. Spread the word on this one people!

vape on!

WOWza!!!
Very powerful pro e-cig stance, and yet another breath of fresh air, and from an MD no less. So powerful, I thnk, that this should be a vaper's hand-out for non-believers.
Fantastic!!

I couldn't agree more! It almost caught me off guard how pro vaping it really is as an article! I hope to see more of this in the future.:D

Bill Godshall just posted an excellent comment on this article.

What a well written and excellent comment to the atricle by Mr. Godshall. even though I'm Canadian, I'm very aware that whatever the FDA does regarding e-cigs will no doubt have a very large impact on whatever Health Canada (who has not updated their stance on e-cigs since first denouncing them in 2009) decides to do when the time comes they decide to pull their heads out of the sand regarding their stace on electronic cigarettes. We're all in this fight together and though this article (and Mr. Godshall's subsequent comment to it) stands as just one very small shot accross the bow, it's a shot nonetheless. Keep firing away Mr. Godshall! We're glad to have you on our side!

One thing is certain: this genie will not go gently back into the bottle.
I love this quote. I think it's a direct jab at Stan Glantz. In a different Forbes article, Stan Glantz was quoted saying: “We can’t allow e-cigarettes to establish themselves the way cigarettes have,” he tells the Times, ”and then, five years from now when we’ve answered all the open scientific questions, we have to try to stuff the genie back in the bottle

I missed this first time around: Notice that SG basically says that in five years, the answers to scientific questions will be negative (DANGER! DANGER!), therefore we'll have to try to stuff the genie etc. (Just in case you were wondering whether or not he's already made up his mind...)

Good catch! It's what we knew, but now we know.
