Yep, still on my first coil now at the 1 week mark. I did try an experiment last night with the original coil. I removed it, soaked it in alcohol for a minute or two, soaked it in hot water for a minute or two, rinsed it out in hot water, then dried it in a warm toaster over (not hot, just warm) and popped it back in. It's vaping great, like the first day. I was just curious to see if they can be cleaned to extend their useful life.

Anyone try nets with these coils. Generally with a net 1 day per coil is doing good.

What is their useful life to start with? I haven't found out yet:vapor:

I don't really know. One person in a thread around here said they were on week three with theirs. My experience with coil systems is the lifespan of most coils is rarely longer than a week and in the case of the Aspire BDC, was more like a day or two at best. Plus, the BDC never produced vapor that tasted this good, or is so voluminous. This BVC coil going strong now with no signs of degradation after a week is amazing to me. At a cost of about $3/coil, I'll be more than happy if one coil lasts only a week. If it goes two weeks, I'll be ecstatic!

In regards to life of a coil, it is relative to the person using it, the liquid used and the power supplied, good maintenance also will elongate life. So to say a coil will last 3 days may be a week for another based on those factors.

As for the power chart...it is for giving a general range of effectiveness not the gospel by any means and is more for basic low end coils than for a RBA or RDA style or other more advanced coils/carts. Just use it to start the ball rolling then adjust up until the "sweet spot" is achieved. But to set a power level with the ohms in the coil per the chart may not give the result expected, again it is only a reference but not accurate.

This has been stated many times but I will say it again, the best way to find the desired result is to start on low power and incrementally increase power until the desired result is achieved, this is a very fail safe method as you will not over power the coil and get a bad result.

But to set a power level according to a suggestion made, may not work as it is again dependent upon the users style of vaping and the juices used, battery type etc. 15 watts for some may be too much and yet not enough for others so the best is to start low, increase and find "your" spot.:toast:

I believe (hope) these coils are going to run longer then the BDC or the Kanger coils because there is no wicking material running through the center of the coil, so there is nothing inside the coil to collect burnt sugar. I just started using these last week but I have noticed that they use less juice then the Kanger dual coil – but more than the Kanger single coils –
I’ve emptied a bottle of caramel juice and I’m working on a bottle of caramel cake juice and I’m seeing no color change in the juice. If I was using a normal coil I would be seeing the juice turning darker by now. If I get a full week or longer from a coil I’ll be very happy.

I just hit a week on my first coil and it's showing no signs of distress. Cool, abundant and flavorful vapor with every hit!
