New atomizer has horrible taste?

I've gone through quit a few atomizers since I first began vaping a few months ago. I've started to get the hang of recognizing when the atty's dry, and when it's no longer working right though.

Anyway, I ordered a new atomizer from freedomsmokeusa for my Joye510. I put it on and filled a cartidge with one of the new juice flavors I recieved. I got this horrible taste immediately. I thought it was the juice, so I tried a different one. Same thing... no matter what juice I've tried, the atty's just giving them all the same gross taste. I've tried dripping, and it made no difference. Of the four atomizers I've had, I never experienced this. Idk why a new one would already be giving me trouble :?:

Anyone know how I could fix it? Or is there something wrong with it & I should return it?

The dry burn will work great if you have a manual battery, it doesn't work for an automatic though. Did you blow out the atty first? Doesn't matter, you can still blow it out now. Remove the atty from the battery and take off the mouthpiece. Blow somewhat hard and long through the atty by putting your mouth on the battery end of it and blowing into a tissue or paper towel to remove any fluid. Do this several times until no more fluid comes out. Sounds like you probably have quite a mix of flavors in there at this point and this will help remove them. Now drip about 3 drops of juice onto the atty bridge and re assemble your ecig. See if it tastes any better. Still no bueno? Ok, you can try cleaning it with just plain hot water, rinse, blow out, rinse, blow out --ten times. Unfortunately now you have to wait for it to dry overnight and reprime it with juice before vaping. You could also try one of the many other atty cleaning methods talked about here on the forum. I use Crest ProHealth mouthwash myself. It takes about a week to break in a new atty in my opinion. Don't give up on it yet.

My routine for new atomizers:

Take a paper towel and wrap it around the battery end, then blow through the cart end until you can't get any more of the primer out. Once that is done, take a small mouthful of vodka (cheap stuff works just fine) and blow it through the atty in the same way over the sink. Then blow all of the vodka out. Dry it off, add juice, and vape away.

Works for me every time.

The way I always clear the primer on my attys is similar to above poster. Only, I tend to blow from the mouthpiece end into something wrapped around the threaded end to catch the primer. This seems to clear the atty a little better for me than blowing from the threads. Then put 3 drops in the atty, take about 3-4 long pulls, but do not inhale. Then put a couple more drops in there, and you should be good to go.
This is just my method.. there may be better ways out there.

EDIT.. Ninja'd
