Hi!

I purchased my first e-cig starter kit (510) about a week ago. I really liked it so I also ordered some e-liquid (pink spot) and an extra atomizer to be used with the pink spot e-liquid. I got my products yesterday but there is a problem with the new atomizer - it does produce a great amount of vapour but there is no throat hit at all. I've been vaping a lot just to try to make it work - no improvement...

I also tried dripping some E-liquid straight onto the atomizer but it didnt work either.

The problem is not the new liquid since the same cartridges work fine with my other atomizer.

Is this normal or do you think its broken? I think it also gets a bit hotter in use than my first atomizer.

Hi Anthon!

I would say give it a chance to break in, maybe a day of moderate use should do it. You didn't mention what is the nicotine content of the e-liquid, but I would guess anything starting from 18mg and up should give you quite a noticeable throat hit. I remember having the same problem with some atomizers from a chinese vendor, but in time they started to work properly and became one of my favourite.

It's normal. Exact same thing happened to me an I'm pretty new to ecigs so I called the company I bought from and he told me to blow into the end of the atomizer that connects to the battery (threaded end) to get all the primer or whatever and only drip a few drops of liquid the first couple times to warm it up. That didn't really do anything for me but worth a try for you. I just used it for about an hour with no throat hits at all but now it's working great. Its a standard 510 so from this experience it looks like they just need some time to warm up.

Do not try an LR atomizer on a slim 510. Slim ecigs use standard resistance single coil atomizers and cartomizers. Anything lower can damage a slim ecig. Anything higher may not even get warm or vaporize at all. 2.5 ohm would be the warmer end of that range and enhance hit a bit.

And then there is the question of your juice. What is the PG/VG and nic level of the juice you bought? What is the PG/VG and nic level of the juice that had TH? Nicotine IS TH. VG makes a lot of vapor and dulls flavor and nicotine TH.
